Chapter Thirty Four: a fated battle

Gajeel layed against the wall. Waiting for Wendy and Erza. 'What was taking them so long?'

He looked at his arm with sadness, "hey Levi," he tried to speak to her if he didn't make it. He was losing a lot of blood.

"Gajeel! Are you okay?!"

Her voice gave him warmth, "hey shrimp. I just wanted to hear your voice."

"What's wrong?"

"I don't want to worry you. Everything will be okay though." He wasn't sure if that was a lie or not.

"I heard you were fighting Acnologia."

"I was."

"Did something happen? I can see him still...."

"He bit part of my arm off," he knew she was too smart to go around and lie about what happened.

"Oh no! I'll get Wendy!"

"I already did. I'm waiting on her and Erza."

"Okay, can you please keep talking to me till they get there?"

"Sure,"

Then an unexpected wizard appears with pink pigtails, "hey, I'm here to help!" She waves.

He knew her the little godslayer Sherria  of Lumia scale, "a little kid shouldnt be here."

"Everyone has teamed up to fight and I'm a godslayer and I can heal myself!"

"And heal others." He held up his arm.

She puts her hands over it and heals it from any kind of infection. She rips a part of her skirt and wraps his arm, "there you go." She said pleased with her work.

Gajeel looked at his arm once more. His frown deepened, "some dragon slayer I am..."

"It's okay. He beat Igneel and probably many more dragons. He's tough."

"Yeah..."

"Gajeel!" It was Wendy's voice. He saw the two running towards him.

"Better late than never," he manages to stand up.

"You need rest," Wendy says.

"There's no time for it when all this is going on," he says.

Then Wendy sees Sherria. They hug all excited to finally see each other again.

"Can you still fight?" Erza asks him.

"Oh yeah, I'm good. A lot better now that I'm healed."

Erza looks at his arm, "I'm sorry that we weren't here sooner. The city is a mess and Carla disappeared saying she had to tell Natsu something important."

"It's fine. I survived."

"We can fight together this time just in case."

Gajeel agrees and they leave to fight more.

The whole barrier gets knocked down then. The enemy flooding in.

"Crap! This isn't good!" Natsu says. He grabs Lucy's hand to run faster.

"Hey!" She complains.

"I'm sorry but we need to go. I don't want to get caught up in a swarm of enemy Wizards. I have to find Zeref. Time is running out."

But, it doesn't work. They were surrounded. Lucy was about to summon a spirit when Natsu stops her hand.

"What's are you doing?"
