Chapter Twenty Seven: the final battle

"I did all the necessary calculations this morning about the battle," Mavis tells Zeref.

Natsu left to be with Lucy all night so Zeref and Mavis spent time together. She stayed the night and cuddled till they awoke the next morning.

"And? What is it? The black wizard asks her. He was making pancakes for the two of them.

"I want you to fight that guy in sabertooth who used your kind of magic. Natsu fights Yukino. Grey fights their water wizard. Gajeel fights Rogue and Erza fight Rofus."

"Taking out the whole guild?"

"Yes, while they are busy with that. The other guild will take each other out. Then after those battles there won't be much left to fight."

"I forgot that your good at figuring out that kind of thing." He sits down next her.

"You're good at it too," she smiles sweetly at him and grabs his hand, holding it. "Zeref, I... I'm so glad your here, in the guild. I'm glad your being a good brother to Natsu. You're even growing on sixth master, "she giggles, "I just.... I wanted to tell you..."

"I love you." Zeref finishes for her.

She can't help but smile at those words, "I love you too. I'm so glad we have a chance to be together again. Can you promise to never leave?"

"I promise."

"It's the last day of the grand magic games! Is everyone ready to fight?" Pumpkin was excited.

Everyone cheered as the teams came into the clearing of the stadium. Then the games began. The teams were set loose around the city.

Fairytail meets up with Sabortooth. Ready to fight.

It doesn't take long for Zeref to finish off the other dark wizard so, he wonders around the city to find anybody else to fight.

The water wizard wasn't much different for Grey when he fought Juvia. Natsu felt bad when he had to take out Yukino. Erza and Gajeel were having some difficulties with their opponents. But, Gajeel beat the shadow dragon skater like last year. Except rogue never got possessed. Rofus eventually was no match for Erza's swords.

A lot of the other teams took each other out like Mavis predicted. Leaving only Leon, Kagura, Jura, Sherria, and Millianna.

Zeref decides to take on the wizard saint.

"Well, now I get to fight you. The newbie." Jura says.

"And I get to fight the fifth wizard saint."

"I won't loose this battle. You brother has exceptional magic."

"I know he does. Your magic isn't too bad yourself but, it still isn't strong enough to defeat me."

Jura throws some earth pillars at Zeref but, he dodges it with ease.

"That was too easy," the black wizard says. Taunting him.

"That was just the beginning," he shoots spikes from the ground under fairytail's wizard. He dodges it only to be accent key heading towards more that formed. Zeref was inside down and gracefully landed on the end of spike with his finger. Then pushed off and was ended up on normal ground.

"Almost caught me off guard,"

He lashes another attack on him but, he freezes it in time then produces a death orb in his hand and chucks it. Destroying all in its path.

"That magic. It's interesting. I've heard of it. The famous black wizard uses it." Jura says.

Zeref's eyes grow wide, "well, I'm not him."

"You must look up to him then?"

"What he did was wrong. I don't follow him. We can't always choose our magic."

"Alright, just wondering."

Zeref scoffs, "I didn't really appreciate it. Now you've got me angry."

Death orbs form in both of his hands, and he throws them. No matter what the wizard saint did to block it, it didn't work. They went through rock like it was butter and they hit. Knocking the wizard out.

Fairytail met up after their fights but, Grey was missing.

"Where is he?" Zeref asks.

"He got to fight Leon but, those idiots knocked each other out. So it was a draw." Erza tell him.

"The winner is Fairytail!" The announcer screams with over enjoyment.

They are all back at the stadium except the ice wizard who went into the infirmary. Confetti was falling down around them, everyone cheering and screaming Fairytail. The whole guild raises up their hands to do the hand symbol.

When they got back to the hotel. Everyone partied all night. Then it was time to head back home which ended up a party at the guild hall. The whole town was proud of them.

They were covered in the newspapers and magazines as the worlds strongest guild. The sixth master was crying with joy as they handed him thirty million jewels.

Everyone was overjoyed except the ice wizard. Who stayed on the side lines wishing the black wizard was dead.
