Chapter Twenty six: brothers vs. brothers!

"Good job Erza with the battle from the battle with the monsters and with sabertooth's celestial wizard." Jellal tells her, smiling.

"Well, I lost against the Yukino. Her gravity spirit destroyed me." She laughs.

"You don't seem upset."

"I'm not. I'm glad she won. She looked so happy."

He grew serious then, "how was fighting with Zeref?" He said his name like it was poison.

"Jellal.... I think he is good now or he was never really evil to begin with. He wanted his brother back."

"So that makes everything okay?"

"No. It doesn't but, what I saw today fighting with him. He really wants to be part of the guild and Natsu looks up to him..."

"Speaking of Natsu. That magic he casted yesterday..."

"I know. I got a bad feeling about it too. I don't know why."

"It was demon magic, Erza."

"Like curse magic?"

He nods.

She grew angry then, "what are you saying exactly?"

"I'm not really sure. I don't understand it myself. He can't be a demon..."

Erza calmed down, "I thought..."

"I'm sorry. I dont think he is. Did Zeref teach him that?"

"Yes. Supposedly."

"Maybe Wizards could perform curses all along we just never knew how to, or maybe just dragon slayers can."

"Maybe. Will you come walk with me?" She smiles at him sweetly.

He smiles back and they walk together. He was about to talk then got interrupted.

"Don't take about Zeref. I do t want to hear a word about him tonight with you."

He laughs, "alright. Fine."

She sits down at the fountain in the middle of the city and pats a seat next to her. He sits.

"You know the world seems so much more peaceful now." She says, looking at the sky.

"I don't know about that."

"Do you always have to be such a downer?" She giggles. It was weird coming out of her mouth.

He blushes, "well, I... I guess not."

He sets his hand down but, feels her hand already there, "I'm sorry," he moves his hand away but, she grabs it firmly.

He looked at her shocked and confused. She was blushing.

"Jellal...."

"Wh... What?" He manages.

"I know you don't have a fiancé."

His face turns into a intense red.

"You're a bad liar." She grins.

"I know..."

"Why did you?"

"Because, I... I just... I don't deserve you. I'm a criminal to the magic council."

"But, you're here. The magic council isn't even after you anymore. They are a lot more focused on Zeref."

"This though..."

She then grabs his face in her hands and make direct eye contact, "Jellal. You're the only one I want."

He looked at her wide eyed and then she kissed him. He was unsure at first but, he knew he loved her. He eventually kissed back. They stayed there for a few minutes more in each other's embrace.

"It's the brothers of Sabortooth against the brothers of Fairytail!" An announcer yells.

"It's going to be so epic!" One of the other ones say.

The four stand in the arena ready to fight and when it starts a wave of water comes crashing down at them but Zeref blocks it with his magic.

"Good job, brother!" Natsu yells him.

Zeref beams at him.

"Look at that brotherly love!" The girl announcer screams with delight, "I just love them!"

The water wizard scoffs. Then the other one throws a death orb at the Dragneel brothers.

Zeref was shocked as he dodged it. It was his magic but, weaker. Mage guy threw another which was heading towards an unprepared Natsu,

Zeref ran to help with immobilization magic. Stopping the attack.

"You'll pay for that." Zeref says.

He then makes his own and throws it. Grazing the Wizards side. He falls and clutches to it.

"How do you have that magic?" The black mages asks.

"Why? You jealous?"

Zeref forms another, "not really." He smirks as he chucks it. The wizard barely dodges it. "Let me see how good your magic is. I doubt I'll be impressed."

He starts a powerful spell and Zeref knows it and how to stop it. He just moves his hand and the spell stops. The sabertooth member is getting weak.

"That undone spell took a lot out of you. Let me show you how it's done. Natsu?"

"What?" He said as he was fighting the other mage.

"Help me finish them."

Natsu's smile was wicked. He comes to his older brothers side. "I have to use my normal magic."

"That fine. It won't take much to knock them down."

Zeref does his hand position then circles his hands around in circles. A ball of dark magic form I front of him. Getting bigger and bigger. Growing in intensity. Black lighting was sparking out of it.

The Natsu yells, "fire dragon roar!"

Fire mixes with his magic. Swirling around. Then it releases heading towards both the Wizards. Natsu's fire turns black and hot.

"What the...?" Natsu says.

"You accidentally did curse magic." Zeref tells him. Worried.

"No..."

The blow hits sabertooth's members. No one could see anything after the explosion. But, then they saw. The two other brothers laid on the ground in agony. There skin was burnt badly and they had black dark spots all over.

The Dragneel brothers ran to help as the paramedics took them away to recovery.

Natsu's arm was aching again, "why can't I control my magic anymore?"

"You used it to much I'm guessing..."

"Let's get out of here."

So they left back to the hotel. No one heard back from them the whole rest of the day. First and sixth master went to their room to talk.

"What was that Natsu?" Makarov asks him.

"I don't know. I didn't mean to. It was beyond my control...." He defends himself.

"You seem pretty shocked Zeref?" The master turn to the dark mage.

"I am. I never thought... That anything like that would happen. I'm so sorry."

"That was impressive how you guys worked together but, be more careful for tomorrow. It's the final battle."

"Right," they both said.
