Chapter Fourteen: a day at the beach

The day was sunny and warm. The sun glistened on the water. Fairytail woke up from the sound of seagulls flying about.

They started their day off with breakfast then to the beach they went to enjoy the water and weather before training started.

"I can't wait to catch fish!" Happy yells flying off to the sea, "I'll bring you some Carla!"

"Fish..." Obra said evilly as he ran to the ocean.

"What is Obra exactly?" Lucy asked Zeref

"He's.... Im not really sure. I found him. He seemed lost so I took him in." He lied. Truth was Obra was a tiny demon that he created. He was pretty harmless though. It was the closest to a pet he could have that wouldn't die.

"I think he was owned to the dark guild Raven Tail. I remember seeing him at the magic games. They must've deserted him...." She frowns, "well, he has a better home now. So, tell me, what was Natsu like when he was little?"

"He wasn't too different than he is now to be honest. I remember reading stories to him about dragons, his favorite was always the stories about Igneel. He wanted to be trained dragon slayer magic by him. He loved stories of the heroic dragon slayers from way back. He always wondered why Igneel never took a person under his wing. He told me he didn't want to be any dragon slayer, he had to be igneels. When he disappeared though and I heard Igneel was taking care of him. I was so happy. He got his wish."

"Wow. That's amazing." She had tears from the story and looked at the pink haired boy she loved, "he's a very good dragon slayer."

"He is defiantly unique."

"What are you guys talking about?" It was Natsu,

"You when you were younger. He told me how you always dreamed of becoming a dragon slayer and being trained  by Igneel." Lucy told him.

"I did?" He looked over at his brother.

"He was very young, he might not remember."

Natsu grabs Lucy around the waist and picks her up carrying her to the water.

"Natsu! I wanted to tan for bit!"

"I want to swim with you though! I can give you a tan if you really want."

She remembered when he gave her celestial spirit Aries a tan by scorching her in his fire, "no, I'm good."

"Kazuya! Swim with me!" Mavis was running to him. Her blonde hair swaying in the wind. She wore a light pink ruffled bikini.

He blushed when he saw her, remembering last night.

She grabbed his hand and dragged him to the ocean. It was cold but, it felt nice.

"Hey Kazuya... I actually don't know how to swim.... Do you?" She blushed looking at her hands.

"Um... yeah I do. I can teach you if you want."

"Sounds great! Teach me now!" She jumps and lays flat on water but, sinking.

Zeref grabs her and feels her warm skin, it makes him blush intensely.

They spent most of the day together and she still couldn't get swimming down, "I guess your just not meant to swim."

She pouts. "Yeah, seems like it."

Obra comes over to Zeref with a baby shark in its mouth. "Fish...."

"Wow, good job. You got a shark." He pets Obra on the head.

"Fish for master...."

"I'm good but I want you to enjoy it, okay?"

The tiny demon swims off to shore.
