A/N: This chapter as well as the next two will be steamy so if that bothers you then skip them : )
Morgan
The floor is a bit cold on her bare feet as she makes her way down the hall opposite of Darlene and Knox's rooms. At the end of it is the guest bedroom and before she can rethink her situation she knocks on it. Within a few seconds he answers and his face shows a bit of surprise as he registers it's her.
"Hi." She speaks softly, looking up at him.
"Hey."
"Could I...come in and sit with you?" She finally comes to the conclusion of her problem. Knows why she's been so out of sorts lately.
He smiles. "Of course." He moves out of the way so she can walk in before he closes the door again. Some of his things are in there; making it his place seeing as they've been separated this way for the past three months.
Even though this is their house and this is their guest room; she feels a little bit like when they were dating. When they would hang out at each other's places.
"Are...you okay? You know, after the incident yesterday?"
"Yeah."
He sits on the bed and folds his hands in his lap; looking to her. He's giving her the look that sort of makes her insides bunch a bit. It's a steady gaze that holds meaning to it, and the brown of his eyes sort of brightens for her beneath the heavy curtains of his eyelashes.
"I...couldn't fall asleep."
"Oh, well do you know why exactly? Something besides the obvious on your mind?"
"I don't think so...not that I know of." He pats the space next to him in invitation and she goes willingly to sit next to him.
"You haven't been reading that scary stuff you always read have you? Get scared again?" She smirks and shakes her head.
"No. Though the Russian sleep experiment was pretty scary, that was days ago. What about you? Why aren't you asleep?"
He shrugs. "Wasn't sleepy."
"You remember when we were dating, and I would have to go back to London for a while; and we would fall asleep on the phone?"
"Yeah. I remember the first time I heard you snore."
"And you laughed so hard I woke up. I was so embarrassed."
"And you heard me talk in my sleep."
"You said my name, and you talked about a play. I thought it was weird and flattering." She giggles at the memory.
"We were pretty corny."
"We were. Liam couldn't understand why I had like five hundred dollars worth of long distance calls." She laughs.
She looks up to see him staring at her with a smile on his face.
"What?"
"Nothing, I just like seeing you laugh."
"It's nothing special."
"It is...to me atleast." She bites her lip and he reaches up to rub her chin, making her release it from her teeth.
His thumb runs along her jawline before brushing against her cheek. She closes her eyes; taking a bit of a deep breath as she feels his fingers trace over her features. It's oddly soothing and she relaxes slowly.
Then she feels his lips touch to her temple, then her eyelid, her cheekbone and then the corner of her mouth.
And she decides then and there that she doesn't want to be mad anymore. That she doesn't want to be far away from him anymore, that all she wants right now is him.
