-three week after Morgan figures it out.-
Morgan
"Why do you look like you're about to cry?"
Because my husband is cheating on me.
"I don't know, I think I'm just tired."
Colin was home with the kids while she went out and got some well deserved her time with Sammie. But of course her mind was on other things. Things like why the hell her marriage was failing.
They were out at one of the new bistro's in town. They were waiting on their drinks and food and Sammie had noticed how quiet she was being. More quiet than usual.
"You're lying. Now tell me."
"My marriage is falling apart."
"What are you talking about?"
"Colin...Colin is seeing another woman." She muttered quietly, thanking divine goodness that they are in a booth close to the back.
"What? You've got to be joking."
"I wish I was, but no. It's true. He's been seeing her for the past couple of months now. As far as I can tell, he started seeing her while I was still pregnant with Darlene."
"Hold up, now you're saying that Colin...your Colin, is cheating? This doesn't make sense."
"It didn't make sense to me either but they've been texting nonstop, he goes to see her a lot and only God knows what they do while they're together. He's been giving me these stupid ass excuses for where he's going but...God I can't take it anymore."
She is close to tears, she has been since she found out; but for some stupid reason she feels like crying will show how weak she is. She hates it.
"I'm so sorry honey. Well what do you want me to do? Want me to find her and kick her ass? I'll do it."
"No. I haven't even let Colin know that I know."
"What? So you've been letting him go see her? Just passing it off?"
"No, of course I'm not just passing it off. I'm trying to figure out what...why? I have kids to think about now, if it were just me and him? Of course I'd raise hell but we have a family. Knox is almost three, Darlene is almost four months old...it's a lot to register. You understand that don't you?"
"Of course I do. But I know it's tearing you up inside, your face alone says it all. You look like you're sick...When's the last time you ate?"
"I don't know...maybe three days? I've been pre-occupied."
"Three days boo? That's dangerous, you have to eat." As if on cue, their drinks and their food came out and they thanked the waiter before Sammie spoke up again.
"Listen to me okay? We both know that you're not going to sit back and let this woman tear your marriage apart. So, you need to get your strength up, and then you need to confront him about it."
"I am, but for right now let's just enjoy my time out for the first time in forever."
