Morgan

"Colin!" She can't see him. He went in and never came back up and she's terrified.

Before she has a chance to think about it too much; she runs down to the side. Her coat is taken off in no time and she kicks off her boots before jumping in.

To say the water is freezing cold is an understatement. It feels like she's being stabbed in a thousand different places. She comes back up to look around and breathe but he's still not there. She's sort of turning in circles to look around her.

"Colin!"

Her only real source of light is a very old one that's close to the path and even that's not good. So she dives again and feels around. The current is pulling her a bit and she can feel it; she's sort of floating on a little before she hits something.

It's him.

He's sort of floating there close to the bottom and she grabs on. His body is thrashing and she's trying to figure it out. She moves up to catch a breath quickly before back down again.

She moves further down to see his foot is stuck and she pulls but it's not moving. She's pulling harder but it's no use; he's seriously wedged. His boot is stuck between two rocks and there isn't really any lee way.

But she's been so caught up trying to figure out the boot that she didn't realize that he's stopped squirming. When she moves up his eyes are closed and he's swaying slowly now. His head is under the water line and he hasn't got any oxygen.

He's drowning.

Oh God.

She goes up another time to get as much breath as she can again; ducking down once more. Her lips find his and she pushes his mouth open to blow breath into it.

Untie his shoe. Pull his foot.

She pulls away to swim down and struggle to untie his boot. She tugs once...twice...three times before his foot slipped free.

She wrapped her arm around him and moved her feet and other arm to bring them to the surface. She's gasping for air and shivering but she has to get him out of the water.

It feels like a lifetime before they get to the side of the river.

She keeps ahold of his jacket and climbs up to get a stance before pulling him. It takes some serious tugging before he's out.

"C-Colin!" She shouts; hovering over him and grabbing his face. "Listen you gotta breathe."

She doesn't know CPR.

She doesn't know how to do any of this properly.

So she breathes into his mouth again and hits his chest a little. And she does this a few more times before he sort of lurches up.

He's coughing and spluttering; his body turning a little so he can cough out the water.

Thank God.

She collapses at his side; throwing her arm around him and moving into his side. She's freezing cold but any body heat that's going to keep him warm is good at this point. He's breathing heavy and so is she as they lay there. It feels like her body is too rigid to move and she's tired; and she feels herself drifting off.

"COLIN! MORGAN!" Someone shouts but it sounds distant; and soon the dark is all she sees.
