Colin

He watched on as she talked animatedly with everyone. He had cooked and made sure she had whatever she wanted. She ate a lot too as they sat there; her face brightening as she tore through the pie his mother made.

"You should rest..."

"She just got here...no resting."

"It's been eventful. Detective Club said that it would be a good idea. We have tonight. Come on, I'll help you get settled."

"Do we have to take naps?" Knox spoke up and he smirked.

"Not if you don't want to. Just be careful playing around okay?" She kissed both Knox and Darlene's heads before they made their way upstairs.

"You want to take a shower or a bath?"

"No. Ironically I took one before all of those things went down."

"Oh. Well why don't you lay down hm? I'm sure you're tired." He pulled the blankets back and she sat in the open space.

"Do you want to talk about it now?" She murmured.

"Talk about what?"

"You know what..."

"It's not bothering me."

"It is. I know it is. I need to explain. Lay with me...please?" He nodded slowly. He got in, moving into the blankets and helping her settle.

"When I got Knox out...I had to make sure that he didn't go back on his promise. I didn't want him to retaliate if I refused him."

"So you sleep with him? How does that make sense?"

"It ensured that Knox could get home."

"Words could have ensured that."

"It was a mansion with fourteen rooms, cameras everywhere, and bodyguards all over the place. I had my own personal one and they all carried guns around. It took almost an hour for them to find and get me out. This man took our son and captured me because he loved me. Words could have done nothing." He sighed, running a hand over his face as they laid there.

"If you plan on having a problem with this child...tell me now." She sat up and stared at him.

"It's Liam's kid, I don't have a choice in the matter."

"You're my husband, maybe I thought you did. But you're right, it is Liam's kid; but it's also mine. You don't need to have anything to do with it. Just remember you're someone else's kid too. It never stopped your parents from loving you." She got up and went to the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.

He got up and went after her but the door was locked.

"Morgan open up."

"I want to be alone, please."

He mentally punched himself in the face for even saying the things he said. It bothered him that she had slept with Liam but that didn't overweight the fact that she was home; that through all the craziness she managed to get their son home. Part of him knew he was just being ridiculous.

He went to the guest bedroom and knocked. His mother answered and smiled at him.

"Colin, I was just getting my things together for when we leave tomorrow." He moved into the room.

"Mom you know nobody is kicking anyone out. You can stay as long as you want."

"Honey it's fine. Me and your father think it's time we go home. Everyone is home and okay and that's all we need. How's Morgan?"
