She stormed into the room and sort of shoved her phone toward him.

"Who is this?" He frowned before looking at the picture. Her and Liam.

"It's Liam...he's Knox's godfather."

"I need to talk to him. I need to talk to him now." She was tapping her foot anxiously; her fingers fidgeting with a string on her ripped jeans.

"Okay...why?"

"He...last night I happened to see the picture when I was going through my phone. I had a flash...it was hazy but still."

"You mean...you remembered him? Are you saying you remembered Liam?"

"I don't know...I think so. I'm not sure."

"We could call him...see where he is."

"Okay...yeah. Please." She nodded. He stared at her for a moment.

He grabs his phone and calls; Liam picking up almost immediately.

"Hey Colin, what's up?"

"Hey Liam, I was wondering if you could do me a big favor. Are you in London?"

"No. LA actually."

"Good. Tomorrow morning do you mind stopping by the house? There's something important I need to tell you."

"Okay...how is everything? Any new leads?"

"No, none. Just calls from the people who get a kick out of kids missing."

"It'll get better. I'm sure of it. I'll be there tomorrow, yeah?"

"Yeah. I'll see you then."

***********

"So you had a memory flash?" Liam leaned forward a little on the table.

"I think so. It was blurry but you were the clearest face in it. We were walking somewhere and people were everywhere. We were talking about something...I could see your lips moving but I couldn't hear. Almost like a fish bowl."

"Did you see anything else?"

"People everywhere...like at a store?" Her eyes widened.

"A store....a mall! We were at the mall talking!"

"We hung out at the mall a lot when we were younger. It was like our hang out spot."

"Really?"

"Yeah...good! You remembered something! Anything else?" His face brightened but she frowned sheepishly.

"No...I'm sorry. It was just a spurr of the moment thing. I don't know why I remembered it; it came out of nowhere." His face dropped a little and he nodded.

"Sure, yeah. Listen, at least you've got something. It's better than nothing like before, right?"

"Yeah. Maybe you could tell me something? Anything about myself..."

Part of him felt like an intruder to the scene; something he wasn't use to. So, he sort of backed up out of the room and went to check on Darlene.

After he made sure she was peaceful in her bed; he sort of sat in the recliner in the corner of the room for a while. Watched her sleep because this felt the first time she had actually stayed asleep. The first time she was peaceful.
