CHAPTER 31 - LEGACY

Tapos na ang 3 araw ng leave ko.

Alam kong hindi sapat ang 3 araw para mag sink-in sakin ang lahat ng nangyayari.

Parang noon lang ang pagbabalik lang ni Seb ang hinihintay at pinaghahandaan ko.

Ngayon na nakuha ko na ito, iba naman ngayon ang hinihiling ng puso ko.

Si Gavin.

Pero siguro dapat ko na din na tanggapin na wala, ito na talaga ang destiny ko.

Minahal ko naman si Seb noon ng sobra-sobra, siguro naman makakaya ulit mabalik ang pagmamahal na yun.

Ayoko na din ng komplikasyon. Maayos na ang lahat e. Okay na ako sa family ni Seb, wala ng hahadlang, at okay na din ang career ko.

Pero alam ko na kahit ilang beses kong kumbinsihin ang sarili ko, alam kong itong puso ko mahihirapan akong pasunurin ito.

But I need to make my heart to follow me. Lalo na't ngayon kami magprepresent ng buong team ko sa mga board ang Gavin.

I'm not ready yet, but I have to. Hindi pwedeng maapektuhan ang project dahil sa personal naming issue ni Gav.

Five minutes na lang ay magsisimula na ang presentation namin kaya naman lahat ay aligaga na.

Sino ba naman ang hindi kakabahan sa binigay na project sa amin.

Our team are just focus on planning and executing an event or marketing for our brand.

But now they want us to have a new line of Inarez that will serve as a legacy for the company.

Yes, Inarez is a known for elite brands. But it never had its own brand.

And that's the challenge that was given to my team.

"Okay team relax okay? We can do this!"

Nakita ko namang ngumiti ang mga ito. But who am I kidding? Deep inside we all know that we can't relax.

'Okay Bree inhale, exhale... You can do this!'

A minute later ay isa-isa ng nagdatingan ang mga board of directors, Gavin and his Parents.

We all greeted them.

I personally went to Mr. and Mrs. Inarez to greet them.

Katabi lang ng mga ito si Gavin.

Kaya naman parang may nagmamarathon sa may dibdib ko dahil sa lakas ng tibok nito.

Pilit kong pinakakalma ang sarili ko.

"Hi Mr. and Mrs. Inarez!" Bati ko sa mga ito.

"Oh hi iha!" Nakangiting bati sa akin ng mommy ni Gavin.

Ngumiti din sa akin ang daddy ni Gavin.

I am trying my very best not to look on Gavin.

"What about my son? Hindi mo ba siya babatiin Ms. Custodio?" Tukso ng daddy ni Gavin.

Pilit na ngiti ang binigay ko rito at unti-unting tumingin kay Gavin.

How I miss this guy!

He look at me. Pero hindi ko alam kung natutuwa ba siya makita ako o ano. Hindi ko mabasa ang mukha niya.

"Mr. Inarez." Formal na sabi ko at nag bow din bilang pagbati.

He did the same.

AWKWARD. Yan ang perfect term sa amin ni Gavin.

Kaya naman bumalik na lang muli ako sa team ko para simulan na ang presentation.

Ako ang magprepresent sa board since ako ang team lead ng Creative.

I greeted them first before I start with my presentation.

"IGC is one of the biggest company in the country. We are known in the modelling and fashion world."

"But we never had a brand that we can call our own."

"In Philippine fashion there are a lot of  Filipino brands that targets Class C and D market. Because it more profitable."

"And we never had a brand that can competes with international elite brands such as Gucci, LV, Hermes an more."

"My team came up with this product and brand that will serve as the legacy of IGC."

"We present to you... Our brand... Inarez."

Pinakita namin ang ginawa naming logo para sa Inarez brand.

Its simple yet classy type of logo.

Sumunod ay ang pag present ng product na ila-launch.

"We will start our legacy with our very first Inarez line."

Pinakita doon ang mga iba't ibang bag.

We actually have our team to do some proto type bag at isa-isa din nila iton nilabas upang ipakita sa mga board of directors.

"Filipino is really into fashion and brands."

"Social status is often associated with clothing and possessions. And that's what we really aim to do with our Inarez bags."

"We will be targeting Class A market."

"Unlike the other fashion business or brands here in the country... We will sell our brand in an elite brand pricing."

"Our brand will identify the wealth of our client."

"We will not just sell the product to anyone. We will be needing a financial background check, to see if the customer is eligible to buy our products."

"In this way, we will make our brand a great impact to the mind not just the Filipino people but all around the world."

Natapos ang presentation. Pinalabas muna kami para mapag usapan ang naging presentation namin.

Lahat sa team ay tahimik. Lahat ay kinakabahan.

Matapos ang ilang minuto at agad na kaming pinabalik sa conference room para malaman ang resulta ng pinagpaguran namin.

Ang daddy ni Gavin ang nagsalita.

"First of all I want to thank you all for all your hard work and dedication for this project."

"Its not an easy job, but I believe in your team."

"And I can say that we did a great job in choosing your team for this project. Congratulations!"

Nanlaki ang mata namin at hindi naiwasang magtatalon sa tuwa.

"But my son Gavin will be working with you guys."

Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko.

Yung kaninang tuwa ay nawala.

How will I move on if I will see this guy almost everyday?
