"Aren't you tired yet?"
Napalingon ako sa likod ko.
I saw Gavin. He's smiling. Nakakahawa yung ngiti niya.
"Kind of."
"I can ask Sam to finish this rehersal. She will understand that you just landed and went straight here."
I can sense his concern.
I think he already moved on. Based on how he approach me.
Napangiti na lang ako sa naisip na yun.
Mukhang wala na talaga.
"No I'm good. Tsaka mukhang patapos na din naman."
"If you say so. Water?" He handed me the bottled water.
"Thanks." sabi ko matapos kunin yung tubig.
"Do you really want to go back to Paris?"
Muli akong napalingon dito. Ngayon ay katabi ko na siya. Seryosong nakatingin sakin, nag aabang ng sagot.
"I declined the offer because it already served its purpose. But when I landed here, I realize that its more peaceful in Paris than here in the Philippines."
At akala ko din may babalikan ako, pero mukhang wala na. Nais ko pa sanang idagdag yun kaso nahiya ako.
Anong karapatan kong magdrama sa kanya, samantalang ako naman ang nang iwan. All he did is loving me, all I did is taking it for granted.
Maybe I deserved this. Because I became so selfish. I only think about myself. I never considered his feelings.
And if he's already happy with Sheena, even if it hurts I should be happy for him. Hindi na ako dapat manggulo pa.
"Baka naman may gusto kang balikan dun?"
I can sense jealousy in his voice. Impossible. He already moved on.
"Balikan?"
"Boyfriend or special someone?"
Umiling ako. "Wala akong boyfriend dun or special someone. Nagfocus lang ako sa sarili ko at career. Sabi ko sa sarili ko, this time gagawin ko naman to para sa sarili ko at hindi para sa ibang tao."
"I'm glad to hear that."
Kumunot ang noo ko. "Ha?"
"I'm glad to know that you finally start doing things for your self and not for others."
"Oh I see."
"Why? Ano bang akala mo? Na sinabi ko na I'm glad to hear na wala kang boyfriend na naiwan sa Paris?" nakakalokong sabi nito.
"Hindi ah." Tanggi ko.
"Parang tama ang hinala ko e." Nakangiting sabi nito.
"Hindi kaya. Wag kang feeling."
He chuckled. "Fine. If ayaw mo talagang umamin."
"Hoy! Hindi ka-"
"Okay na nga." Natatawang sabi nito.
"Ang bully mo!"
"When did I bully you?" natatawa pa ring sabi nito.
"Tsk. Ewan ko sayo. Maiwan na kita dyan."
"Pikon!" Pahabol na sigaw nito.
Tinawag na rin kami ng coordinator.
Mabilis akong lumakad papunta kay Sam.
