Another request from Heart_Harmony, thank you! :) This is where you are Cedric Diggory's twin, and yes, you are older than Harry here. Set in the Goblet of Fire, after the 3rd task of the Triwizard Tournament.

WARNING: FEELS.

(Y/N): Your Name

"Come on, (Y/N)," you heard your friend call out to you from the door to your dormitory. "It's a good day out. You'll need all the sunshine you can get."

But you shook your head, turning away from her so that she wouldn't see the tears flow from your eyes. "No, it's okay. You go ahead. I'll catch up."

There came a slight shuffling, and then the open and close of the dormitory door indicated that your friend had finally left you alone, finally left you to do all the mourning you can of your dead twin brother, Cedric Diggory. Just like every other time, you felt hot tears burn behind your eyes again, and you collapsed on the bed, turning your face into the pillow as the tears spilled from your eyes onto the pillow.

It's only been a few days since Cedric's eulogy was given to the entire school, as well as Beauxbatons and Durmstrang, by Headmaster Albus Dumbledore. As you listened attentively to the things that Dumbledore had to say about him, your mind kept flashing through all the memories you and Cedric ever shared together. The time you and he both went into Diagon Alley together for the first time. The time both you and he were Sorted into Hufflepuff in your first year. The time Diggory convinced you to ride a broom with him just to practice Quidditch over the summer. The time where both you and he were in competition over who would please your dad whenever he got ill (which was honestly not very often, but it was a habit of yours). Even the time when you and Cedric were discussing about what to do when you graduate from Hogwarts, when you're finally a mature wizard about to step out of the school grounds.

The realization that you would never, ever, get to see him again made you bury your face into your pillow further and sob harder. Cedric's gone. He'll never be with you ever again, as long as you live.

Why did life have to be so cruel?

Eventually, you lifted your head from the pillows to see a photo frame of both you and Cedric--the last one your father took before he headed into the third task of the Tournament--just hours before...before...

"ARGH!" you screamed, tearing your gaze away from the photo after a few seconds and storming out of the dormitory, out of the common room, and up the stairs into the nearly empty corridors of Hogwarts, ignoring everyone you shoved aside. You needed to clear your brain, right then and there, before Cedric's loss consumes you completely and turned you into a monster. However, blinded by your own tears of rage and frustration and misery, you didn't see where you were going and you bumped into Harry, the other Triwizard Tournament champion from Hogwarts besides your twin brother.

"Sorry," you muttered, stepping back slightly to see the younger boy from Gryffindor, with his messy jet black hair and startling green eyes piercing through you from behind his glasses. You excused yourself as you began to walk away, but then Harry grabbed your arm, which made you fall back.

"Hey," he said, pulling you back towards him gently. "Why--why are you crying?"

"Isn't it obvious?" you replied edgily. "You know you're not the only one who had to mourn over him. Cedric was my twin brother! He and I, we were always together, always supporting each other! And now that he's gone--"

"Hang on. You're his twin sister?" Harry asked, releasing the grip on your arm and rubbing your back gently. "I...I'm sorry."

You hiccuped in response as you began to cry again, and Harry lead you to a balcony overlooking the school grounds, away from the corridors where you knew certain students might question your sobbing. A hand remained on your back as he rubbed it slowly, and he also lent you a handkerchief as well, which you gratefully took as you blew your nose, grateful for the time being that your friend didn't have to see you go through another tough crying fit.
