To be honest I wasn't expecting this to turn out a bit like one of these typical YouTube videos anyone posts if they want to pay tribute to someone, but hey, that's what happened here, and I hope you are all okay with it.

The air exploded. Fred's eyes stared without seeing, the ghost of his last laugh still etched upon his face...

The cold winds howled as you slowly made your way from the Burrow to a special memorial just a few feet away in honour of your first boyfriend, Fred Weasley, kneeling down in front of it in your wedding dress. Tears threatened to spill on your cheeks as a flood of memories, mostly containing you and Fred, began to replay in your mind...

"Watch where you're going," an older Slytherin student spat on you as you tried to find a spot on the Hogwarts Express on your very first day of your first year. As he shoved you hard on the side, you fell on the ground, and soon saw the trolley in front of you flip over with your trunk and owl rolling out of the cart and onto the ground as well, your owl screeching madly.

"Don't mind him. He's mean, I know."

You glanced up to see a cheeky redhead boy smiling charmingly at you, and you bit your lip.

"Huh. I wish I knew beforehand," you shrugged, smiling back as you took his outstretched hand and got up, dusting yourself off. "I'm (Y/N), by the way," you added, realizing that you never let go of his hand.

"Fred Weasley," he introduced himself. "And I came with my twin George, and my older brothers Percy and Charlie. Bill's already done with school, he's the oldest...and my younger siblings Ron and Ginny haven't started yet--"

"Whoa. That's a big family!" you remarked enthusiastically, nodding. "I've only got my mom and dad. Sucks to be an only child, right?"

"Well, you'll learn to love us," Fred finally said cheekily. "In a good family way, of course," he added. "But that's up to--"

"I'd love that," you said, making all of Fred's doubts wash away. "Besides, I barely know anyone here." You sighed and turned away. "If only I can try to make more friends."

Fred squeezed your hand gently. "You already are, (Y/N)."

"OY! Fred! Train's about to leave!"

A voice that sounded exactly like Fred's called out from the train, and Fred nodded and waved back at the general direction of the voice.

"That would be my twin brother," he said. "Wanna sit with us on the train?"

You nodded and smiled, already feeling quite safe with him. "Sure! I'd love to meet your brothers."

Fred's grin widened as he brought you to the train, into a compartment where you saw more redheads like him, and smiled and waved at them. The brothers all waved to their parents as the train moved away, and you nodded to yourself in assurance as you took a seat in the compartment, already knowing that this year would be off to a great start with these boys by your side.
