A request from Danillamaa, thank you!

Loathing.

It was all that ran through your veins every time you saw the boy, the pale sharp Slytherin prince who always walked around with his two cronies with haughtiness written all over his face. It didn't matter if you were just passing by in the halls, or in class with him--any simple mention of "Draco Malfoy" would have your blood boiling.

And it didn't help that he ratted you out to Professor Umbridge recently when he falsely accused you of cheating on one of your most recent tests. No matter how many times you protested and refused to admit to the trap he set up, the toad of a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher would rather believe him over you. Of course she would. She knows of his father working in the Ministry of Magic with her. Then again, it may have been that she preferred the Slytherins over you and your house, and she'd rather attend to their well-being over yours. Whatever the case, your loathing for both of them multiplied tenfold since then, and not even your best friends could calm you down and ease your hardened thoughts on them.

As you finally packed your bag and left the room after detention was over, you couldn't help but grit your teeth at the pain that sliced deep into the back of your hand. You didn't even want to look down at the blood that trickled out of the wounds, the message that Umbridge made you engrave many times on parchment and on your own flesh: I must not cheat. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair to be picked on for doing something you didn't do.

You couldn't wait to punch him in the face the next time you saw him.

"Hey! Look! It's (Y/L/N)!"

The moment couldn't have come sooner. You raised your head to see Malfoy, along with Crabbe and Goyle, walking through the corridors to see you moping about with a wounded hand and crossed eyes.

"Aw, look at that pouty baby face!" Malfoy cooed mockingly, and you didn't fail to notice Crabbe and Goyle snigger quietly, almost imperceptibly. "What's wrong? Umbridge got your tongue? Oh wait, no! Look! It's the Mudblood's blood dripping everywhere! That's it!"

He did not just go there.

Anger simmered over your entire body as you strode over to the boy and delivered a harsh punch in the nose. "It was your stupid claim that got me here!" you shouted, drawing your hand back as Malfoy recoiled. "I did not cheat on that last test, thank you very much! I got that 'E' fair and square!"

"Without the help of a pure blood wizard who actually knows the answers? Who actually understands the principles and theory?"

"I can read, Malfoy. I'm not a dumb baboon."

Now Crabbe and Goyle stopped sniggering, their faces falling and eyes widening the moment you said this. With a single glance at each other, as if just realizing just how baboon-like they actually looked, they immediately turned on their heels and began to take off in a frenzied sprint down the corridor.

"Oh yes, you are," Malfoy whispered dangerously, completely oblivious to the disappearance of his cronies. "Diffindo!"

How could you not have noticed him pull out his wand? With a sudden gasp, you glanced down at your bag splitting, all your books and quills falling out from the broken seam, ink pots smashing over the hard covers of your textbooks. The sight of the black ink seeping through the pages made you seethe--even though you could siphon that away with magic, the book's condition may never be the same again, and you went through so much to pay for your education already. How much more of a living hell was Malfoy prepared to give you?
