And I'm back with a Ron Weasley X Reader one-shot! Just a quick one explaining what I'm going through. Takes place in Goblet of Fire--you might recognize this episode.

"Anyone seen (Y/N) lately?" Ron asked his best friend, Harry and Hermione, as they were finishing up their Astronomy homework in the Gryffindor common room late one night. Or rather, Hermione was finishing up both Harry and Ron's homework as they were lounging around near the fire. At least, Ron was. Harry, in the meanwhile, was looking at the fireplace, awaiting his godfather's arrival.

Hermione shook her head. "No, I haven't," she said in complete worry. "She's been going to classes, alright, but...something's different about her. A bit off, really. She's always been at the loos crying in between classes, and she's been absolutely quiet at supper too. Avoiding us too." She crossed out a word in Ron's essay. "Avoiding everyone, really."

"I suppose she's depressed?" Harry asked moodily.

"Well...I wouldn't know," Hermione shrugged offhandedly. "If she's up for a conversation, she'll come back, right? And by the way, Harry, Mars has a lot of ice, not mice--Harry?"

"Sirius," Harry murmured, crouching over the fire at the sight of his godfather's face projected in the flames.

Ron looked appalled as he knelt beside Harry. "Whoa!"

"Seriously? But he isn't--what?!"

Hermione shrieked slightly as she knelt beside Ron, gaping at Sirius's face in the flames.

"Hey guys," Sirius, Harry's godfather, greeted them grimly. "How've you all been?"

Harry smiled. "We've been good, I guess..." He looked at Ron and Hermione uncertainly.

"Hmm? Oh, yeah," Ron shrugged. "Homework has been keeping us up and all."

"Sirius, what are you doing here?" Hermione whispered.

Sirius gave a non-committal shrug, though the trio couldn't see that. "Well, I thought I'd talk to Harry about what happened to his scar last summer, since I couldn't completely put it in the letter, right? I know it wasn't fake, Harry."

Now Hermione gaped. "What exactly did you tell Sirius in that letter, Harry?"

Just before Harry could open his mouth, in you came, your books peeking out from your open book bag and your face cast downwards to the floor. Lately, your (H/C) hair has been kept completely unkempt, your eyes losing its glint of curiosity and happiness, all replaced with a look of complete gloom. There was a reason for that too; back home, things have been rather unsettled with your family, and you continuously felt further pressure throughout the last summer and even now at school. It was killing you slowly, inside out, and it hurt trying to even talk about it. So you remained completely reserved.

Until now.

"(Y/N)!" Hermione cried, getting up and running to you. "We've been worried sick about you!"

But you waved Hermione off. "I'm fine, Hermione. Just..."

"No, you're not," Ron followed up, and you looked at him now, your face slowly turning hot at the sight of his concerned face. "Come on, (Y/N), you've been avoiding us for days now! You've been avoiding us since we all got here, since school started--"

You half-wished you didn't get into an argument with Ron. He was the first friend who stuck by you since first year, along with Harry and Hermione who came by later on. It's not to say you've developed feelings for him, but the fact that he was so concerned about you made you feel a sense of guilt from the tips of your toes all the way to your chest. But at that moment, you snapped.
