Hey everyone!

So...I'm really sorry for not having ppsted much over the winter break. But I hope I can make it up to you as soon as possible when I get the time. Meanwhile I just want to recount my experiences at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando (and yes, I made the collage above with my own photos...wish I added a bit more tbh XD)!!

Okay, so overall we spent a good 4 hours in both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. I thought the tickets were really overpriced, but they were worth it in the end! We got to ride on the Hogwarts Express from Hogsmeade to Diagon Alley and back, and I absolutely loved the animations and other enchanting things they did on the train--highly recommend riding it! The seats were really comfy too!

One word I can say about Hogsmeade: crowded. Really--the moment we got there it was like, SO MANY PEOPLE AROUND HOW CAN WE GET FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER? On the plus side, the design of the place was spot on, and I'm impressed at the re-creation of Hogwarts and all the Hogsmeade hot spots too. The only store we visited there was Honeydukes, but that's mostly to cool down (and you can imagine how hot Orlando can get sometimes!). And yes, we saw Fizzing Whizzbees, Chocolate Frogs, Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, Licorice Wands, Sugar Quills--the list just goes on!

And we also saw the Triwizard Tournament spirit rally too. Really well done by both Durmstrang and Beauxbatons--I filmed both performances too! It was totally worth standing in the hot sun to cheer them on!

And what can I say about Diagon Alley? Lots more stores, for one. I caught sight of Gilderoy Lockharts's "Magical Me" in Flourish and Blotts, and even took a picture of The Daily Prophet. And we even went into Weasley's Wizard Wheezes--AAAAAAHHHH YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH I WANTED A PYGMY PUFF, THEY WERE SOOOOOO CUUUUUTE!! But nah. Though right next door was Quality Quidditch Supplies, and I got myself a Gryffindor baseball cap!! My sister got a Gryffindor scarf in the meanwhile.

Oh, and you know Gringotts, right? They actually have the dragon up there, and at one point it roared and spat fire! Well, not spat fire--breathed fire, I can say? Next moment I felt a roar in my ears and the temperature went up, but it passed. It was sooooo cool though. I tried to take a pic of that but missed. And my mom got a shot of it! Lucky...

Okay that aside though. I didn't go on any rides, I didn't go into Ollivanders, and we didn't stick around for too long either. But in the end we all drank Butterbeer as we exited the park, and allow me to say, it was a great day overall. Seeing Hogwarts was like coming home. To my second home, where my favourite fictional characters have once learned magic.

Thank you JK Rowling for writing the series that sparked all of our imaginations, and eventually inspiring the films and even the theme park that stands today. Yeah, I'm not making sense but really, I've been a fan of Harry Potter since 2007, and always will be till the very end.

"After all this time?"

"Always."

Stay tuned now for either a Remus X Reader, Scorpius X Reader, or Fred X Reader coming up!
