Chapter 33 ~ Danielle's POV

"Do you need help with your math assignment? It's quite easy..." I began.

Kennedy Richards had called me tonight. She usually calls me for help with math, and we weren't that close of friends. I was sitting at home for spring break, watching whatever came on the television. I had finished my assignments the day they were due, so I was free and bored for the rest of these two weeks. My friends were all in Paris or Venace or Istanbul with their families, but my parents are big on family vacations to exotic places. When I heard my cell phone ring, I actually got quite excited. When she mentioned a surprise, I felt myself get even more excited.

"Are you free tomorrow? Or on you on vacation?" Kennedy asked.

"No, no I'm free, what's the surprise?" I asked, sitting up on the couch.

"Do you want to come over tomorrow?" she asked. I don't mean to sound desperate, but finally something to do other than sit at home.

"Sure, what time?" I asked, writing this down on a napkin as a reminder.

"How about, 4:00pm?" I heard giggling in the background.

"Are you playing a prank on me?" I asked her, hoping that I wasn't going to show up to be publically humiliated.

"No, my friends are here from California for the break and they're chit chatting," she said, which relieved me. She then told me her address and I agreed to meet her.

"Oh, and shower right before you come over," she added.

"Why?"

"It's a part of your surprise! See you tomorrow!" And with that, she hung up.

"Text me when you want to be picked up," my mother said once I closed the car door.

"I promise," I replied. I walked up the pathway to a large house. I rang the door bell which initiated in a short segment of chimes.

"Hey Danielle!" Kennedy said after swinging the door open, "Come on up to my room."

"Okay," I agreed and followed her up the stairs.

"Kennedy? Is that your friend?" I heard a feminine voice call.

"Yeah, Aunt Clara, my friend Danielle and I are hanging out this afternoon," Kennedy called back.

"You live with your Aunt?" I asked.

"Yeah, I moved to Mullingar, I moved in with my Aunt Clara and Uncle Joseph and my cousins, just until we find a new house when my mom is financially stable," Kennedy explained to me.

"Oh," I answered. Kennedy opened, what I assuemd to be, her bedroom door. Inside were three other girls, who I again assumed, to be her friends from California.

"Mackenzie, Emily, Eleanor, meet Danielle," Kennedy saud, gesturing to each of them so I knew their names.

"Hi Danielle!" Eleanor chirpped up.

"Eleanor is from Machester, England, but she's also staying with me for spring break," Kennedy explained.

"Well it's nice to meet all of you," I said, kindly smiling.

"I'm detecting an English accent," Eleanor pointed out.

"I grew up in London, moved to Mullingar when I was 8," I answered. Eleanor nodded in understanding.

"So Danielle," Mackenzie said, patting the bed and gesturing for me to sit next to her. I sat as she continued, "What's your type of guy?"

"Um," I thought about it for a moment, "stong, brown eyes, smart, tall."
