Chapter 8
When I got home, I called Emily and Mackenzie first on a three way call. I told them everything about Niall, about our past dates. We talked about how much we missed each other, and what was happening in each others lives. Mackenzie's mom finally got her an iPhone, Emily is joining the local equestrian team and I'm dating. We were all squealing of joy through our phones about the good news. Finally we had parted, so I could make another important call.
I called my father, he was always sort of awkward. I asked him how Sacramento was, and he said it was sunny. I told him I missed him, and he said he missed me too. The only amazing thing that had happened since we moved here was Niall, and I couldn't tell that to my father. We ran out of things to say, so we both hung up.
By the time our conversation was over, it was time for bed. Just as I was wrapping myself in the blankets, I got a text message.
From: Niall
You should get to bed early tonight, love. My pop and I will be over at 7:00 to pick you up Xx
To: Niall
I was just getting in bed <3 see you tomorrow :)

"KENNEDY! AIMEE! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!," Mother yelled up the stairs.
Aimee and I ran down the stairs with our bags in hand. Mother handed us our packed lunches as I headed out of the door into Mr. Horan's car. Inside, Patrick, Cassia, and Niall were waiting. Aimee, Finn and Liam got into Aunt Clara's car to go to the middle and elementary schools. Patrick sat in the front seat, as I was squished on the hump next to Niall and Cassia.
My breathing got heavy as I really started thinking about where we were headed. I was afraid I was going to get lost, not make any friends, not have the right supplies. I had three composition notebooks, one heavy binder, a bag of pens and pencils, three folders and my lunch packed into my white and pink floral backpack.
"Kennedy, are you okay?," Niall remarked on my heavy breathing.
"Yeah, I'm just scared. You're the only people I know," I told him, trying to calm myself down.
"Don't worry, I'll take you to the main office to get your schedule and walk you through your classes. Wisteria isn't too hard to figure out," Niall reassured. I felt better now that Niall was showing me around.
"Yeah, don't sweat it, Kennedy," Patrick said from the front seat, "if you need help, just text us."
"Thanks guys, I'm just nervous," I said, fumbling with my sleeves.
"Have a good day, kids!," Mr. Horan yelled when he dropped us off at the school. It looked like a giant apartment building, like all of the classrooms were tiny homes.
Patrick and Cassia were walking ahead of us, meeting up with their friends. I was standing still, intimidated by all of the unknown faces. Niall took my hand, pulling me forward.
"Come on, follow me," he said encouragingly.
We walked into the school, the hallways were very wide. He led me down what seemed like a main hallway down past the library and into the main office. Niall did all the talking as I shyly stood next to him.
"Hi, Mrs. Murphy, how are you?," Niall said kindly.
"Good, Niall, and yourself?," Mrs. Murphy responded. She looked about 50 years old, with blonde hair that was starting to turn grey. She was a bit heavy in the center, but it made her look kind.
