Chapter 28 ~ Harry's POV
I awoke to Emily's blonde hair tickling my nose. I quickly checked the bedside clock, 10:00AM. I always managed to wake up at 10 on the dot. I hooked my arm around her waist and pulled her back to my chest. I heard her groan, and then release a sleepy yawn. She turned herself over to reveal her bright turquoise eyes to me.
"Good morning, love," I said to her. She smiled at me.
"Good morning Harold," she said to me, smirking. I grinned at her words. I came close to her, kissing her nose lightly. She made me so happy, I loved waking up next to her.
"Ready to get up?" I asked her. She moaned and put the pillow over her face. I propped myself up on my elbow and took the pillow off of her head. She looked up at me and smiled. sitting up in the bed.
"No, I want to sleep," she said, still smilling.
"Then why are you grinning?" I asked teasingly.
"I dunno," she simply answered, her eyes still locked with mine. She turned away from me, blushing slightly, but I couldn't take my eyes off of her. "What are you looking at?" she asked.
"You," I responded as if it were a reflex
"Why?" she asked, confused. The confusion showed in her face as wrinkles formed in her forehead.
"What do you mean why? Because you're beautiful," I said, being completely serious. She giggled and stood up off of the bed. She walked over to the dresser to fetch her things, her hips swaying ever so slightly.
"I'm making a run to the bathroom, before Mackenzie or Kennedy get there first," she said, still turned around. She came back to me, her arms full, and kissed my cheek. I watched her exit the room, and then decided to get up and change into day clothes. I decided upon a regular black v-neck and dark jeans. I ran my fingers through my hair, as I had showered before Emily came back to sleep over. I walked outside to see a line of girls outside the hall bathroom.
"Emily beat us to it," Kennedy explained as she was waiting, "and Niall claimed the upstairs bathroom for the boys." I nodded as I walked upstairs to brush my teeth. I opened the door to Zayn just looking at himself in the mirror.
"Get out of here Narcissus," I joked. He scoffed at me and walked out of the way while I brushed my teeth.
"So, what did you two do last night?" Zayn asked, leaning against the doorway.
"We just talked," I answered after I spat into the sink.
"That's it?" Zayn asked, a bit disappointed.
"No, we did... other stuff," I said, trying to be vague.
"How far?" he asked interested.
"Not far at all," I said.
"Not even second base?"
"Nope," I answered simply, "We just kept it clean and then went to bed."
"I didn't get far either, man," he said, shaking his head, "I just hope Niall didn't get far either or else I'm out."
"Yeah," I said, trying to act like I cared, "me too." He jogged down the steps as I wiped my face clean. I followed behind him and proceeded to my room. When I tried to open it, the door was locked, "Emily?"
"One second!" she called. She opened the door and half of her hair was brushed into organized blonde waves, "Don't mind me, I'm not finished."
"You look beautiful anyway," I said, kissing her forehead. I wanted so badly to tell her, but I think it would just make her angry for no reason since I did not participate. She was wearing a navy blue lace dress that went to mid thigh and had little lace sleeves. She looked absolutely stunning. Emily sauntered over to the mirror to finish brushing her hair and to start her makeup. I sat on the bed, just watching her.
"What are you staring at me for?" she asked giggling.
"Because I can," I said, standing up and walking over to her. She set down one of her makeup brushes to face me. I set my hands on her hips and she set her fragile hands around my neck. Emily played with the ends of my hair, which I loved. I kissed her lightly, leaving a lingering kiss on her lips.
"Okay," she said, pushing me lightly, "I need to finish!"
"I'll leave you to it," I said, kissing her cheek before I exited the room. I made my way to the den when I heard a shriek from Zayn's room.
"WHAT!?" I heard Mackenzie scream. She opened the door outraged and bright red in the face.
"What's wrong darling?" Zayn asked her sweetly. Emily opened the door with a concerned look on her face. I looked over to Niall who was in the distance with a guilty expression.
"DON'T YOU DARE GIVE ME THAT 'What's wrong darling' CRAP! Oh, Zayn Jawaad Malik you have NO IDEA HOW ANGRY I AM WITH YOU RIGHT NOW!" Mackenzie screamed at him, inching closer and flailing her arms. Kennedy came out of the room after her with a smug expression on her face. Niall told.
"What are you talking ab--?" Zayn was about to ask, but was cut off with more yelling.
"DO NOT DARE ACT LIKE YOU DO NOT KNOW WHY I'M ANGRY. YOU TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME. AND I BET THAT WAS A BUNCH OF BULL SHIT LIES COMING FROM YOUR IDIOTIC MOUTH! I CAN'T BELIEVE I TRUSTED YOU AND YOU, YOU DIRTY DIRTY LIAR!" I could see the tears forming in her eyes. She turned around quickly and escaped to his room. He chased after her.
"Baby, I'm sorry!" he said, trying to stop her. She came back with all of her belongings in her arms, walking past him and through the den to the door.
"Don't talk to me," she managed out of her closing throat. She stormed out of the front door, slamming it behind her.
"I'm going to go see if she's OK," Kennedy said as she started making her way to the door. Once she passed Niall, she turned back around to face him, "And we're having a MAJOR discussion when I'm getting back, Niall James." She closed the door behind her. Both boys had the looks of deep depressions on their faces as they were ashamed of what they had done, and what I had not done.
"What the hell happened?" Emily asked, obviously confused.
"Why don't you tell her, mate," Niall said, his eyes becoming glassy. He ran into his room and slammed the door before we could see him do what men aren't supposed to do in front of company.
"Yeah, I'm going to see if I can fix this," Zayn said to me, equally upset. Once he left the house, I turned to face a confused Emily, afraid of what was going to happen next.
"Harry?" she asked me sweetly, "What happened to my friends?"
"Well, love, come sit," I said, gesturing her to the living room couch. She sat beside me and I started to explain, "Well, when you, Kennedy and Mackenzie were off getting your things, the boys thought it would be a fun idea to make a bet."
"A bet?" she asked, "What kind of bet?"
"Well, the boys all bet each other that whoever had sex with their girl first won a pool of about thirty English pounds," I said, awaiting her reaction. She was still a bit confused and she was still listening.
"But, you didn't even want to have sex with me last night," she said, starting to come to realization.
"I told them I would participate, but I really didn't want to," I admitted.
"That means, you really did want to change!" she said, exitedly. I started laughing as her grin became wider. "Oh Harry!" she said, grabbing me in a tight hug, "Aw you're so respectful of me, you would've paid the thirty pounds just so you wouldn't disrespect me." I felt very proud of myself. She pulled back and kissed me passionately. She lifted her face from mine, "Maybe I should go see how my friends are doing."
"That's a good idea," I said, still in a lustful daze.
"Wait, what do I tell them?" she asked, "I can't tell them that you didn't do anything, I would seem braggy."
"Just tell them the truth love, and help them," I advised her.
"You're the best, did you know that?" she said to me, standing up and off of the couch. "Just for that, you're getting something special tonight," she winked at me. I sat up straight, thinking of what to expect. She sauntered out of the door. God, I think I love her.
