Chapter 15

I managed to go back to sleep and wake up at 12:00pm on the dot. I woke up to the sound of my large family making noise in every room. It made me sigh in relief that they really weren't gone. I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom to wash my face. I decided just to take a shower and wash off the nightmare. Once I was finished, I threw on dark skinny jeans and a white button up. I checked my phone, 3 new text messages.

From: Emily

We miss you! Call us!

From: Tommie

What are you doing today?

From: Niall

Hey babe, you left your earrings here Xx

I decided to call Emily and Mackenzie first, checking one thing off the list of horrible things in my dream.

The phone rang twice before Emily picked up, "Hey! We miss you sooo much!"

"I miss you too! Only a few more weeks until spring break!" I exclaimed. Before I left to the airport, we made plans for spring break. I didn't know when Wisteria's break was, but even if they didn't fall on the same dates, they were coming to stay with my family and I.

"Thank God," she joked, "let me call Mackenzie." We waited in silence for Mackenzie to answer the phone.

"What, Emily? It's so early," Mackenzie asked, annoyed.

"Surprise!" I said. I heard Mackenzie gasp with excitement.

"KENNEDY! WHAT'S UP!?" she almost shouted into the phone.

"Um, Niall and I are dating! That's why I wanted to call you!" I said. I had to pull the phone away from my ear because of how loud they screeched.

"KENNEDY! WE'RE SO PROUD OF YOU!" Mackenzie screamed with joy. They both knew about my past, I had gone to them for advice.

"Are you sure? Should we approve? What's he like?" Emily shot several questions at me.

"You guys know me, I wouldn't have said yes if I weren't sure. And yes, you should approve because he is perfect," I said, swooning at my own words. I couldn't believe how I was acting, I really was in love. It just shocked me, it was so uncharacteristic.

"You guys should Skype us later, I want to see you guys together!" Mackenzie demanded.

"I'll ask Niall later if he wants to," I complied. They let out their excitement as we continued talking about anything new in our lives. I ended up hanging up about a half hour later, and calling Niall afterwards.

"Hey, love," Niall said when he picked up. I felt the butterflies flutter in my stomach.

"Hey babe, when should I pick up those earrings?" I asked sweetly. I couldn't help but smile.

"Whenever you want to," he answered calmly, "but I'm going to tell my dad about the audition today, and I want you to be there."

"Why? You're a big boy," I said in a baby voice. He laughed at me.

"I don't know, I'll just be more comfortable I guess," he said shyly.

"Okay, I'll be over in a few"

"See you soon."

We hung up the phone and I quickly blow-dried and straightened my hair. I threw on some concealer and eye makeup and pulled on my brown oxfords. I grabbed my phone and a few dollars, just in case, and made my way down the stairs, managing to dodge my mother. She said she was okay with me sleeping over at Niall's house, she trusted him, but she had an attitude about it.
