Chapter 30 ~ Niall's POV
"Are they still talking?" I asked, bored in the den. I had my arm around Kennedy on the couch, while Emily was sitting on top of Harry in the LazyBoy.
"Niall, Mackenzie is really upset," Kennedy said, looking up to me with her big brown eyes.
"I know, but I'm bored," I said, tilting my head back. Harry laughed at my sillyness.
"Yeah, Kennedy," Emily said, "I'm kinda bored too."
"We could play a game or something?" Harry suggested.
"We could make food?" Kennedy perked up.
"I like the food idea," I said. She stood up and went to the kitchen.
Before she entered the door, she turned to us, "What do you guys want to eat?"
"Anything you make, really," Harry said.
"Alrighty! Coming right up!" she called, closing the door that I sometimes forgot was there.
"So, what did you two do the other night?" Harry asked me.
"Um, we actually got into a bit of a fight. She was finally going to tell me this huge back story thing she's been keeping from me about her ex boyfirend, but she was tired and wanted to go to bed," I explained to them.
"She still hasn't told you about Derek?" Emily asked, lowering her voice to a whisper.
"No, and I'm dying to know what happened," I said, leaning in closer to her, my voice low to a whisper also.
"Well, I don't think I'm in any position to tell you her business," she said, leaning back into Harry. Harry seemed like he was now interested, too.
"Well, hopefully she's going to tell me," I said, leaning backwards also.
"Now I want to know," Harry chimed in. Emily gave him a disappointing look and he became silent.
"Emily's got you whipped," I joked with Harry.
"Shut up!" Harry fought back.
Kennedy walked back into the room with two bowls; one filled with caramel corn and one filled with potato chips, "Hey, what did I miss?"
"Harry's whipped," I said, teasing him.
"Shut up, Horan, so are you!" he defended.
"No I'm not!"
"Niall, sweetheart, move over," Kennedy ordered. I scooted to the side to give her space to sit down on the couch. She set the bowls down and snuggled into my side.
"Whipped," Harry said to Emily, his eyes on me. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"You guys are so childish," Kennedy said, then kissing me on the cheek, "So what do you guys want to do today?"
"I think we should get that figured out when Zayn and Mackenzie are done," Emily suggested.
"How much longer do you think they're going to be?" Harry asked.
Just as if it were on que, Mackenzie and Zayn walked out of the room, announcing that they had figured everything out and that she forgave him. "Yeah," she had said, "he had begged enough, it was getting kind of pathetic."
