Chapter 7

I woke up in a large, comfortable bed. I turned to the night stand to check my phone for the time, but none of my belongings were in sight. It took me longer than expected to realize I wasn't in my home, or at least where I was supposed to be. I looked down at my clothes, I was wearing a tee shirt too large for my petite form and boxer shorts. I stood up in the unfamiliar room and saw my dress and jean jacket neatly folded on the floor. I remembered where I was and what had happened the night before. Just then, I heard a knock at the door. Niall slowly walked wearing jeans and a plain white tee shirt.

"Oh, you're awake," he said, looking at me in awe.

"Did you change me?," I asked, not sure to be angry or thankful. It made me embarrassed to think Niall had seen me with just my underwear on.

"Yes, but I didn't take advantage of you or anything!," he said defensively. He cheeks got red at the thought of my bare self. I should've gotten angry, but for some reason I trusted him.

"Alright, I trust you. But don't get any funny ideas mister!," I said playfully. Niall laughed at me trying to be angry.

"Do you want some breakfast?," he asked sweetly. I nodded and followed him to the kitchen. I sat down at his breakfast bar as he took some cereal boxes out of his cabinets. "Pick one."

I chose the Cheerios. Niall took out two bowls, two spoons and some milk. He sat across from me at the breakfast bar as we started eating.

"So where's Gregg and your dad?," I asked.

"Dad's at work and Gregg left about a half hour ago," he answered. I nodded, understanding.

"What time is it?"

"11:30, I expected you to sleep in later," he said. I really did love to sleep. I felt older than sixteen, staying at boys' houses, intimate dates, responsibility.

"What are we doing today?," I asked curiously. I was asking a lot of questions at a fast pace.

"What do you want to do?," Niall asked. "We could go back over the lake, go to a diner, see a picture, anything interesting you?"

"How about we have a lazy day?," I suggested. I appreciated him offering to take me to nice places and even spend his money on me, but I just needed to relax. He looked at me, puzzled. "You know, stay home, watch movies, play games?"

"Oh, that sounds fun!," he exclaimed, getting excited at the thought. We finished up our cereal, then he started cleaning up the bowls.

"Where's your bathroom?," I asked. I probably looked like a mess. I always had bed-head and bad morning breath.

"Yeah, there's one next to the room you were using," he pointed around the corner.

I went searching for the bathroom and finally found it. I looked like a mess. My makeup was smudged around my face, my hair was knotted and disgusting. I can't believe Niall has seen me like this, and still wanted to hang out with me. I looked through the drawers underneath his sink to find a wide toothed comb. I quickly ran it through my hair; there wasn't much I could do to fix it. I then looked for some tooth paste. I squirted some on my finger and continued to rub it on my teeth and tongue. I took the nearest cloth, put some hand soap and water on it and rubbed my face. I pretty much had clear skin, so I wasn't afraid to be around him with no makeup. When I finally decided I looked presentable, I walked back into the den where Niall had stacked about twenty movies, ten board games and two decks of cards.

"Niall," I laughed, "don't you think this is a little much?"

"Oh, is it?," he asked, looking disappointed.
