Part 1: “Do something right, no one remembers. Do something wrong, no one forgets.”
How to start this chapter…I could tell you that the day was great. It was our one-month anniversary and I got Michael a bag of candy because again, he has been stressed. I wanted to do anything I could to alleviate his stress even though I was stressed myself.
My dramatic writing class was interesting. I sat next to Jen as always, but this time the person who sat to my left was Reece. Now, first day of class Jen and I both agreed he was cute. Reece had gorgeous orange hair, fit and tall, and a charismatic personality. He made quite the impression by announcing that he was in a movie that had recently come out. No not the main character, but one of the characters in the beginning that died. Another thing was he told the class a story about how he and his friends and girlfriend of that time were tripping on acid in a courtroom. If that doesn’t catch your attention I don’t know what will! It sure as hell caught the class’s attention.
That day our teacher was late. Somehow Reece and I started talking. How I don’t remember. I think it was because I mentioned that I was angry that I had missed all the movies that had come out recently.
Recently. Reece-ently? Get it? Well, Michael hates that word. In fact I made him hate his favorite candy, which were Reese’s. As if I didn’t have enough guilt?
Anyways, through out class Reece and I talked and cracked jokes and I was saying that I have been crazy stressed as of late and wanted to relax and wished I had the movies he had on his computer.
“If you want you could come over to my apartment later and watch them?” Reece offered.
“Really? I might just take you up on that offer!” I whispered back as the teacher began to talk again. By the end of class I was ready to explode from stress.
“So is that offer still open?” I asked as Reece and I walked out of the building.
“Yeah, I’ve got like four movies you said you didn’t watch yet. Sure thing, Here is my number,” Reece said pulling out his phone and taking mine.
“Cool,” I said.
“Just know that there might be alcohol and weed there,” Reece warned.
“No problem it’s chill, thanks for the warning though,” I replied.
Reece and I walked half way back to my dorms since my dormitory was close to the building. He told me a bit about his family life on the way back. He also revealed that he was a DJ and created his own music. We parted ways, and I was happy. Really happy.
I actually had fun plans. Watching movies that I’d been dying to see. Walking back to the dorms I texted Michael to find out he was in the Lab with all the computers.
Arriving he was typing away, obviously busy with work. I mentioned Reece and what happened.
“So can I go?” I asked, because hello, alcohol, weed, a twenty four year old with his roommate.
“Yeah, as long as he knows you have a boyfriend,” Michael responded.
“I’ll text him,” I said.
Reece texted back, “Okay, I have a girlfriend, wasn’t planning on anything…”
“Neither was I, just my boyfriend wanted you to know I have one…” I replied.
“Okay, well see you later,” Reece replied.
“So whatcha up to? Because I don’t have to go if you really don’t want me to,” I offered.
“No, you can go, I just wanted to make sure he knew. And I am going to finish working on this, and then I actually have to go meet someone from my class and work on other stuff so I wouldn’t really see you anyways,” Michael said as he was packing his bag.
