"You have so much to tell me, Catherine Batts."
"I know," she sighs, putting a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth as she crosses her legs on the couch.
I do the same, and she starts explaining everything.
"Last week, I was at a club with Lauren, and Calum happened to be there. We talked for a while and then he asked if he could walk me home so I let him. One thing led to another..."
"YOU SLEPT WITH CALUM LAST WEEK AND YOU DIDNT TELL ME?!"
"YOU'VE BEEN DATING LUKE FOR TWO MONTHS AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME!"
I take another spoonful of ice cream before replying, "Touché."
"Anyway," she shakes her head, "We went on a date the next night, and well we did it again. I don't know, we don't like each other, it's just the sexual tension is unreal."
"Wow," I sigh, "And what about Ashton?"
"What about him?" She asks, sticking her spoon in her ice cream. I scoff, giving her a look, "Don't play stupid, you went to the bathroom and then Ashton disappeared. What happened?"
She shifts, "We just talked," she looks down, "His girlfriends named Gabby."
She looks up and she smiles, but her eyes are a little watery.
"Oh Cat," I sigh and she shakes her head before sniffing, "No, it's fine. So, how did this whole thing with Luke start?"
I hesitate, because I feel badly for her, but I continue to tell her anyway, "He visited me when he was here for his moms birthday. I don't know, we went on a few dates and it kinda just happened."
"I wasn't expecting it," she says, "Like at all."
"Yeah, neither was I," I laugh.
"Can we get a dog?" Cat asks suddenly, "I really, really, want a dog."
"Yes!" I shriek, "Oh my god, we have to get a dog. We can totally get one, we have a place, I have a job, you're getting one soon, it'll all work out."
"I'm so fucking excited!" She says, pulling her laptop from the coffee table.
She types for a few moments and I take that time to get a huge spoonful of ice cream.
I shove it in my mouth as she grins, "There's a shelter twenty minutes away, can we go tomorrow?"
"Absolutely," I grin.
Sure, it may be early in the stages but getting a dog has been something we have always talked about.
Ever since we were sophomores we have talked about getting an apartment together and getting a dog, so naturally we can't wait.
"Oh that reminds me," I say, my mouth full, "Can we get a swing?"
"A swing?" She questions, before closing her lap top and taking her ice cream again.
"Yeah," I say, "I was googling it yesterday, they make them for inside. They hang from the roof and everything!"
She raises her eyebrows, before swallowing, "Yeah Grace, you know what those are called?"
I shovel more ice cream in my mouth, "What?"
"A sex swing."
I choke, before swallowing and coughing loudly, "That's not what I meant!"
"Grace, you literally just described a sex swing!"
"Yeah, but those weren't the ones I saw!" I protest, my eyes wide, "The ones I saw hung around the living room like another chair!"
"So a kinky sex swing?" She smirks, and I throw a couch pillow at her.
"I still want one," I pout, because honestly they looked so fun.
"Okay let's put the sex swing on hold," she holds in a laugh while I roll my eyes, "Let's start with a dog."

"Can I help you girls?"
A young guy walks over to us, a smile on his face.
"We're looking for a medium sized dog?" Cat says, adjusting the beanie on her head.
"Okay," he smiles, "In this room are small dogs, if you go through that door there are medium, and there is a door in there that leads to bigger ones."
"Oh, cool, thank you." I nod, staring at the little puppies that are running around in the cage next to me.
"No problem, if you find one you like, come and find me and I'll help you out."
"Awesome, thanks." Cat grins, and he nods, walking away.
We grab each other's hands and nearly run into the next room.
"Oh my god, I want them all." Cat sighs.
"Oh look at this one," she cooed, walking over to the pug in the corner.
But my eyes immediately fall on an a little brown and white husky who is sleeping in a cafe all by itself.
I saunter over, crouching down and falling in love with him right away.
"Cat, get over here."
She detaches her eyes from the pug and walks over to me, crouching next to me.
"Shit," she says, and I laugh lightly.
The puppy opens its eyes, and Cat and I both gasp, holding onto each other.
One of the puppies eyes is blue and the other is brown. This is our dog.
"This is the him," Cat nods, "Grace, please tell me you want this one too?"
"Where is that guy?" I stand up, and she grins, standing up with me and hugging onto me tightly.
"I'm so happy." She says, and I nod agreeing.
She stays with the dog while I go and find the guy. I see him standing behind the counter and walk up to him.
He looks up, "You found one?"
"Absolutely," I grin, and he smiles, following me to the cage where Cat is practically crying over him.
"Thank God!" the guy says when he sees which one we picked, "This little guy has watch all his family get picked."
My heart falls for the little puppy. The guy, who I noticed is named Joe from his name tag, opens the cage.
He takes the puppy out of the cage and it clings to his arm.
"Do you want to hold him?" He asks me, and I nod taking the small puppy in my arms.
It puts its paws on both my shoulders, nuzzling into my neck, "Oh my god."
"I'll go get the adoption papers." Joe says, leaving us alone with the puppy.
Cat goes behind me so she can see his face, before I feel her petting him.
"Oh my god, I'm in love with him."
"What are we going to name him?" I say, continuing to pet his back.
He pulls away from my neck and lays puts his paws on my chest so he stands up straight, his ears up.
Cat walks in front of me, continuing to pet him as she grins, "How about Wilson?"
"That's perfect!" I grin, looking at his different colored eyes, "Hi Wilson, welcome to the family."
