"Lauren, don't get lost, and we're leaving by 3!" I say as she tips back another shot, nodding her head as she follows one of our friends to the dance floor.
It's another Saturday in New York, but instead of sitting in my room reading or writing I'm actually out with some friends.
Even at 20, I'm still not a huge fan of drinking, but I told myself tonight would be the exception.
It's the perfect night to go clubbing. My parents are at a wedding so they won't be home tonight, and since my sister moved out a couple months ago with her boyfriend, I'll be home alone, so I can come home drunk and sleep off my hangover without a problem. Also, the bouncer didn't even ask for my ID when I got here, so I didn't even need to show him my fake one Lauren got for me.
I tip back two shots of fireball, before shaking my head from the taste. I order two drinks, thanking the bartender. I turn in my seat and see Lauren waving me over, so I smile and go over to them.
I start to dance as I walk over there, letting the alcohol take effect of me, even if it's only a little bit.
Lauren takes my hand as I give her the drink, laughing hysterically as a guy comes up to our friend Carter and try's to flirt with her.
I laugh along with her, continuing to dance, sipping on our drinks as we do so.
We both start chugging our drinks, cause why the hell not, and I stumble a bit once I'm done.
I put my glass on a near by table, before continuing to have fun with my friends.
"Kitten?"
My whole body freezes, my heart speeding up incredibly fast.
I slowly turn around, a huge grin on the face of one of the people I've missed most over the past two years.
"Oh my god!" My hands go to my mouth, shaking my head in disbelief, "Calum, oh my god!"
My arms are immediately around his neck, and his go around my waist as he holds me tightly too him.
"What the hell, why are you here?!" I shout over the music, pulling away and holding onto his face with my hands.
"I'm on leave," he says, and I almost cry at the sound of his voice. It's been so long since I've heard any of them in person, "We were dropped off in the city, and I could've went back to Seattle but I wanted to stay here for a few days."
"I missed you so much." I say, hugging onto him again.
"Come on," he says, pulling away and taking my hand, "Let's go find some place to catch up."
I nod, looking back to Lauren but she's already dancing with our friends and some guys so I just let her be.
I follow along behind Calum, until we find a couch in a quieter, more lit corner of the club. Good enough.
We both sit down, and I face him, seeing him much better now. He is much more muscular, and all his hair is buzzed off. He's wearing a white long sleeve, quarter button down shirt with some kind of logo on the side and black jeans. Honestly, he looks really really good.
"It's so good too see you again, Kitten," he says, and I grin massively at the nick name. I had grown so accustomed to it back in Seattle, but I hadn't heard anyone call me it in so long. It sounds so good hearing it from him again. "How've you been? What have you been up too?"
I'm not going to lie, I'm slightly taken back by how well spoken he is now, not that he sounded like an idiot before but now he just seems much more mature.
