ok quick note I picture grace as maddi brag now and cat still as chrissy costanza

"Cat, please don't cry," I say, crawling into her bed as she's wrapped up in blankets.

"I'm so stupid," she crys into her pillow, "How could I be so stupid? Did I really think this was a good idea?"

"Cat," I try to calm he down, putting my hands on her shoulder to try to turn her head, but of course it doesn't work, "Stop it, you guys love each other."

"No," she cries, "I love him, but he has her. He is with her right now, and I swear to God, I have never seen someone so perfect."

"Cat," I sigh, "Look at me."

She looks over, her eye makeup running down her face, "I'm sorry, but you're wrong. I don't think what Ashton did was right. I think he should of told Gabby about you guys a long time ago. But Cat, this is Ashton we are talking about here. Ashton Irwin, the kid with the bandana that told off a cop for twisting your arms in those handcuffs five minutes within meeting you. The kid who stood by you when I was in the hospital and you had no one else. The kid who surprised you in New York for Christmas instead of spending it with his family. You guys are Cat and Ash, you were the only thing that made sense, you have to believe in that, don't you?"

"We used to be Cat and Ash," she sniffs, "But then I moved, Grace. Everything you just stated was from before I moved. I moved, and he went into the NHL, and met Gabby, and now it's Gabby and Ash."

"No," I cringe, "That sounds bad. It'll always be Cat and Ash and you know it."

She sighs, running her hands through her hair, "I know it's hard, and I know that you regret everything you both did-"

"That's the thing, Grace," she sighs loudly, "I don't regret it, I don't regret having sex with him at that wedding. I know I should, and I feel beyond guilty for doing it, but I know it wasn't a mistake."

"He broke up with her," I say, and her eyes snap to mine, "When he called you, he wanted to come over because he broke up with Gabby."

"He broke up with her?" Cats eyes water again, "He actually did it?"

"He did it," I smile at her, "Okay? He did it for you."

She looks up at the ceiling, running her hands through her hair before dropping them to her sides, "Okay," she says quietly, "Okay."

"You know what," I say, "I'm going to go get ice cream and then we can just watch Greys Anatomy and have a day to ourselves."

"I love you," she sighs, and I laugh, getting up and leaving her room, "I'll be back!"

When I get downstairs I grab my keys and wallet, since my phone is in my pocket already, and leave the apartment.

We live literally four blocks away from the store, so I start walking, enjoying the weather since it's actually not raining.

My phone starts to ring, so I dig it out of my back pocket and hit accept when I see its Luke.

"Hey," I chirp, smiling to myself.

"Hey," he says, "Are we still on for dinner?"

"Oh crap," I sigh, "Listen, Luke, Cat went through a lot today and I told her I'd have the night in with her. I'm so sorry, I completely forgot."
