ok this sucks I'm so sorry but happy new year everyone I am 18 and legal calum hood is in my state you know what that means

ok mb not but a legal girl can dream

"Well," Calum says, leaning back into the booth, a knowing smirk on his face, "Can we address the elephant in the room?"

I sigh, looking down at my ice tea, "Cooney and Moran are moving into our building."

"What are the fucking odds," Cat huffs, leaning back into her seat as well, her arms crossed, "I swear to God, I'm not going to be down for any of this shit. If they say one thing to me I'm going to fucking-"

"Easy there, tiger," Ashton smirks, causing me to laugh. Ha, Cat puns.

Cat glares up at him, and Calum snorts, "That was hot."

"Take a cold shower, Calum," Ashton shakes his head, causing us all to laugh.  He's on a roll today.

"Okay," he shrugs, "Kitten, care to join?"

I see Ashtons jaw clench and I roll my eyes once again, Calum is obviously still trying to make him jealous.

Cat laughs, but I can tell its forced, she's probably really uncomfortable.

"Maybe later, Cal," she full heatedly jokes, shaking her head, but it seemed to only make Ashton madder. When will the guy realize that if he is still with his girlfriend, Cat won't be with him?

"But seriously," Luke changes the subject, "What will you do when you have to come in contact with them? It's a small building."

"Wow, look at this fork," I now divert the topic, mostly because I don't want to talk about Cooney and Moran. We've done enough of that for one life time, "Isn't it neat?"

"Wouldn't you think my collections complete?" Cat sings along, leaning on me.

"Wouldn't you think I'm a girl, a girl who's got everything," I sing back.

"Up where they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun," Calum joins in. He skipped like, half the song, but I'll go with it.

"Wandering free, wish I could be, apart of that world," we all sing together, before laughing hysterically.

"Are we good?" I ask, since we payed already, and everyone nods.

"Can we get Legos?" I ask as we start to head out.

"Legos?" Calum asks.

"Did I stutter?" I smirk, and Cat laughs, "Let's get Legos."

"See, this is why she's my best friend," I smile, wrapping my arm around her.

We all walk down the block of stores to Target, looking at all the different types.

"Ooh, should we build the transformer?" I ask, picking up the box.

"Oh my god, we can make it into a car, a plane, and a transformer."

"So is that even a question?" Cat asks, and I grin.

We go to check out, the boys trailing behind us as we make our adventure.

We race home, because hello Legos, and as soon as we pour them out.

"Okay, let's make the transformers," Cat says, and I agree.

"Ashton, hand me that one!"

"Which one?"

"The grey one!"

"Cat, they're all grey," he laughs, handing her one.

"No, not that one, the light grey one."

He laughs loudly and she groans and rolls her eyes.

"I got it," I say, and she shakes her head, "This is too stressful."

I laugh as she huffs and continuing the transformer.

"Grace," Luke mumbles against my neck, and I close my eyes and take a deep breath, but not in a good way, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," I shake my head, "Why?"

He pushes himself up so he's hovering over me, "You're lying," he says, "What's going on?"

"Honestly nothing is going on," I say, "I'm just kinda tired, I haven't slept the past few nights."

Luke sighs, before rolling off me and onto his back.

"What?" I ask, looking over to him.

"Nothing, it's just," he runs his hands over his face, "You've been really distant from me lately, I didn't know if I did anything wrong."

"You didn't do anything wrong," I sigh, rolling on my side so I can face him fully, "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I was being distant. I'm just feeling a little weird lately."

He frowns, "Are you sure?"

"Yeah," I nod, and he looks at me skeptically, "Don't lie to me."

"Is it Cooney?" He keeps asking, which makes me grow frustrated, "Is it Michael?"

"Michael?" I gape, sitting up to look at him, "Why would you think that?!"

"You've only talked to him lately," Luke sits up, pouting.

"Luke," I sigh, "That's not true. Just seeing Cooney made me remember back to old times. I've been getting in my head."

"Michael is old times," Luke says, sighing loudly.

"No, Luke," I snap, "Michael is not the only thing that happened senior year. I went through a lot of shit that year."

He stays silent, and I shake my head, getting up and grabbing my shoes from next to his bed.

"Where are you going?" He sighs, standing up quickly.

"I'm just gunna go back home."

"No, Grace, wait," he says, coming over to stand in front of me.

"It just makes me nervous," he says, gripping onto my arms and looking at me in the eyes, "You and Michael have been through a lot, I can't compete with the history you guys have."

"Luke," I say, cupping his stubbled chin in my hand, "That was in the past, it's over, okay? I'm here with you, aren't I? And what Michael and I had is what you just said," I urge, "History."

"You're the thing I can't quit," he sighs, studying my face intently. His eyes roam from my eyes to my lips, "I just want to feel you in my veins."

I don't know what to say, because Luke really surprised me with his words sometimes.

He leans in and connects his lips to mine. I wrap my arms around his neck and give into his kiss. It'll be okay.
