This wedding is stressing me out.
Seeing everyone from high school, especially Cooney, made me remember everything that I went through.
From the crash, to all the memories with the group, with Cat. With Michael.
It all confused me so much. I love how my life is now, I love having the apartment with Cat and living on my own.
But thinking about everything we went through makes me question everything we're going through now.
I've been hiding out in this room for a little while, just kinda thinking over everything. I didn't really want to be around anyone, and this was a nice little area.
But unfortunately, my time alone ended as someone knocked on the door.
"Grace? Are you in here?"
I don't answer as the door opens slightly, Michael's red hair peaking out from behind the door.
"There you are," he sighs, "I thought you went missing, I was going to put out a police report."
I laugh lightly as he comes over and sits on the floor next to me, "Is this where you have been all night?"
I nod, "Yeah, just seeing everyone out there really sucked."
"I know," he groans, laying down on his back with his eyes closed, "I still hate Cooney."
I laugh as I look down at him. His black shirt has two buttons unbuttoned, but is surprisingly still tucked in.
"Did he say anything to you?" I ask.
"No," he says simply, "But he is still annoying. Grace, did you see him? His shirt is so bright, I need my sunglasses."
I laugh again, a little louder this time and a small smile etches onto his face, even though his eyes are still closed.
"I just want to go home," I lay down next to him, making sure my dress doesn't go up, "I want my bed."
"I want pizza, the food here sucks."
"Oh my god, pizza," I basically moan. Its upsetting how much this food did suck. So far, this wedding has completely sucked.
"How about we get the rest of the group and just head out?" He says, "If we sneak out now, no one will notice."
I think for a second. Is it rude to ditch out on a wedding before they even cut the cake? At this point, I don't even care, I just want to leave this God awful place.
"Yeah," I nod, standing up and fixing my skirt as Michael stands up as well.
The two of us walk out back into the ballroom to try and find everyone, when we see Calum and Luke having a drink.
"Where is Cat and Ash?" I question, getting a weird feeling.
"I don't know, I'll go look," He says, and I nod as he turns away and goes back out into the hall to find them.
I walk over to Luke and Calum, them smiling when they see me.
"Where have you been, babe?" Luke asks, "I've been looking for you."
Obviously not hard enough.
"Oh I just went to scope out the place," I lie, "It's really weird being here, like, with everyone."
"I know," Calum says, taking a drink, "I can't wait to get out of here."
"Well, I was just with Michael, and he went to go find Cat and Ash. We could just head out, no one will notice."
"You were with Michael?" Luke questions, "I thought you went to go scope out the place?"
"I was," I explain, "We just ran into each other so we were just talking and stuff. But I said I wanted to leave so he said he would find Cat and Ash so we could."
Calum looks at me, then Luke, then at me again before he claps his hands together, "Well, let's get our stuff together."
I nod, before walking away. I walk over to the table, getting my stuff and putting it in my bag.
Luke and Calum didn't follow me to the table, which I thought was a little strange, but I just let it go. I just want to get out of here.
Someone clears their throat, so I turn and see Michael getting his jacket. He looks really flustered.
"Michael, are you alright?" I ask, putting a hand on his arm and trying to get a better look at his face, "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Oh, yeah, yeah," he rushes, not meeting my eyes, "I just uh- walked in on an old married couple doing it on a piano."
"Oh my god," I cover my mouth with my hands, "Oh my god."
I slowly start to let out a laugh, before laughing hysterically, my hands clenching my stomach.
"It's not funny," Michael whines, "It was traumatizing."
"On a piano?" I laugh loudly, "Wow, whoever they are they must know how to have one hell of a time. Good for them."
"Please stop," he cringes, causing me to laugh louder.
"What's going on?"
I turn to face Calum and Luke, putting a hand on Calums shoulder to steady myself, "Michael just walked in on an old couple having sex on a piano."
Luke lets out a snort, shaking his head while Calum laughs, "Kinky."
"Let's stop talking about this," Michael says, shaking his head as he fixes his jacket.
"Well, where is Kitten and Ash?" Calum asks, and Michael still remains uncomfortable. Poor guy.
"Cat was in the bathroom I think," he says, "Ashton was coming."
He cringes again, and I furrow my eyebrows, "Sorry, I just have that imagine encrypted into my brain."
Cat walks in and comes by us, "What's going on?"
"We're leaving," I say, "Is that okay with you?"
"Yeah," she says quietly, "I'm kinda tired."
I nod, while Michael groans, but I don't ask. He's probably still thinking about that couple.
Ashton walks in, and we all head outside.
We all say goodbye, considering its about 8, so we're all just calling it a day.
Cat and I climb into our car, and I look over to her because she is being super quiet.
"Are you alright?" I ask, and she nods, still not saying anything.
"Cat," I say, causing her to look at me, "Seriously, whats wrong?"
"Nothing," she says, now looking at me in the eyes, "Honestly, I'm just really tired."
"Promise?" I hold out my pinky.
"Promise." she nods, connecting our pinkies together.
I nod, disconnecting our pinkies and turning on the car, heading back to our apartment.
