Maya's P.O.V
I walk to Farkle and say, " Farkle, I have a secret to tell you." He nods and says "Okay, hit me." "Wait. You have to swear to God you won't tell a single soul about this!" Farkle looks at me strangely and says," I don't believe in God though Maya." I want to tell him that I don't believe in God either but I still say stuff like "Oh my God" and crap like that, but I don't. "Then swear on your family's life that you won't tell anyone." He nods and says " I swear on my family's life that I won't tell any one at all." I close my eyes and mutter the words "I like Lucas." I open them and see his eyes wide open. "I always figured that you felt something besides what you said you felt." He shrugs, " Just don't kiss him, or date him. He's your best friend's boyfriend, for goodness sakes." I feel pain and anger rise in my chest. "I just wish I could meet Lucas and make out for hours and then talk about our day and-" Farkle covers my mouth. "Maya, that's jealousy. Date me. Riley and Lucas would never guess that you like him. " I smile and hug him tightly. "Thank you so much Farkle. I love you, and I mean it." I impulsively press my lips to his and feel energy run through my body. I'm alright without Lucas, I think. For now.
