Lucas's P.O.V

Maya gets into my car and I start driving. It's silent until she says something.

"Soo, you're actually doing this?"

I look at her and see a blank expression on her face. She's wearing her aviator sunglasses and leather jacket. Her blonde locks are blowing in the wind. She looks so perfect, just being there. I mean, I can say that about her without cheating, right?

"Ranger Rick? Hello? " she looks at me with a slight smile but it looks like she's trying to hide it.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. I was just thinking."

"Thinking? About what?"

I shrug and say "I don't know. You?"

She smirks and says "What, that I'm a big bitch. Or, pardon me, little bitch. I mean, since I'm like 5'1."

I chuckle and say "Actually, Maya, you're not that much of a bitch. Just because you act like one doesn't make you a bitch."

"Wow, makes so much sense," She says in a plain tone. "where the hell are we?" She takes her sunglasses off and looks out the window. I park right next to a river and grin.

"This, Hart, is John V. Lindsay East River Park. My favorite place in the whole world since I moved here."

We both get out of the car and she laughs. "This, Friar, is the lamest park in the world." She giggles and sits on a rock near the river. I sit next to her.

"Where the fuck are the swing sets?" We both laugh and I watch the hair blow into her face. I brush it out and our eyes meet.

I gaze into her ocean blue eyes and then feel a vibration. My phone. "Shit, sorry."

I pull my phone out and read the name on the phone. Riley. God, I forgot all about her since I went off with Maya.

I quickly slide the answer button. "Uh, hello?"

"Lucas? " I hear Riley's sweet voice on the phone.

I glance back at Maya fiddling with her phone and walk away. "Uhh, hey babe." I keep glancing back at her.

"Can you bring me the makeup work for Spanish? I really need it since we have that stupid test tomorrow."

"Oh, yeah, yeah." I exhale and say, "Tonight?"

"Yeah, tonight."

"Okay, see you tonight love you."

"Okay bye." She hangs up. Wow. No love you? I walk back.

"Riley?" Maya says in an annoyed voice.

"Yeah, of course. She's my girlfriend Maya, remember?"

"How could I forget" she mumbles.

I show her around the park.
