Lucas's P.O.V
The next morning I text Riley.
Me: have you texted Maya and gotten a reply
Riley: no
Me: oh fuck it's our fault we didn't go to the party
Riley: she's okay there's nothing that can harm her at a a party except crazy axe killers and ghosts
I put my phone down and start worrying. Fuck. I need to find Maya. Maybe she's at her apartment. I pray to god hoping she's there.
I knock on the door and I see Katy Hart standing in front of the door with a pink robe and some slippers. She looks at me tiredly and says "Are you a friend of Maya's?" I nod slowly and she yawns. "Darlin, I haven't seen Maya since she went to Riley's yesterday evening. I heard something about a sleepover?" I think and quickly lie. " Uh, yeah. Yeah. Maya's just at Riley's house chillin after their sleepover, yeah?" She sips her coffee mug I didn't notice she was holding and says "Well, okay then, but next time I want her to tell me first. You can come in if you like, but without Maya there must be nothing for you to do here so you're better off going. " I nod and say "Yes m'am I'll just head off." She shuts the door and I start to fret. I need to go back to the house we were at last night, because if Maya partied the whole night, she'd be there, right?
