Riley's P.O.V
Maya and I walk into Sweet Treats together after school. It's this ice cream place that just opened, and we wanted to try it out and see if it was good. We line up behind five other people. Maya impatiently groans and pulls out her phone.
"Goddamn it Riley, everyone from our school will be there." She shows me a load of Instagram posts from people from school posting about going here. She grumbles and shoves her phone back into her back pocket of her jeans.
My mind wanders to if Lucas and Farkle will be there. Lucas and I are, okay. Farkle and I, well, let's just say that we haven't talked since he tried to get me drunk at that restaurant. I hope that he didn't mean any harm though, because I really really miss Farkle. He was so nice and sweet and cute, wait. Why'd I just think cute? Oh gosh. This will be harder than I thought.
Maya kicks my leg gently and I look up to see that we're up to order. She orders black cherry and vanilla. I look at the choices and decide to get chocolate and strawberry. Maya rolls her eyes and we wait for the ice cream. When they hand it to us, we take a seat next to some guy and a brunette.
Maya looks at them and says in a low voice "Are they from our school?"
I then notice something. "Maya."
She looks up at me and says "What."
"That boy is Lucas. He's with that girl. Danielle. The new one."
Maya walks over to them and says "Ranger Rick, I got a present for you for being such a fuckboy. Oh, sorry Danielle. Didn't see you there." She then shoves the ice cream into Lucas's face.
"Maya! Oh my god." I say when I see Lucas decorated with ice cream on his face.
She smirks and says "Let's get out of here. Like, now." She says while I follow her out of Sweet Treats, with Danielle and Lucas watching us with pissed off looks on their faces.
Maya calls out while leaving, "Enjoy your little date, Lucas! Hope you have fun explaining about your fuckboy history!"
Well, right now I have loads of chapters until this book is over. Whatever ships that happen right now, doesn't mean they're endgame.
