Lucas's P.O.V
My mom shouts for me. I swear to God as soon as I turn 18 i'm moving the hell out of this house. I walk downstairs to my mom and she says "Lucas honey, Riley is at the front door." Great. Since I'm back to having anger issues because of that brat Maya I don't need anyone to visit. "Tell her now's not the time for that shit!" I grumble to my mom. She looks stunned and Riley suddenly walks in with a frightened look on her face. She must have heard everything. "I came to help you." She says in a quiet voice. "I don't need any help! I'm not in a fucking mental hospital!" I scream. My mom ushers me away from Riley and she says "I'm sorry honey Lucas isn't really-" I interrupt her with a piercing scream. Everyone stops and looks at me. "It's Maya's fucking fault!" My mom winces at my choice of language and says " Riley you might want to go." Riley nods and leaves. I tell my mom slowly that I'm going to go check on Riley. "Lucas are you-" I walk out of the house and I see that Princess Dancing Sunshine is in the gazebo. I walk into it and she looks startled when she notices I'm there. "I, I'm not a monster Riley. " she looks into my eyes and says "I know." She looks away quickly. "They call me Mad Dog. Would you call me that?" I walk a little closer to her and she fumbles with her jacket zipper. "Would you call me Weird Sunny Bright Girl?" I know I changed the name! "No, I would you Princess Dancing Sunshine like you already know." I wink at her after saying it but she keeps a straight face the whole time. "Exactly." She mumbles. I don't know what to do after that because I like Maya, like a lot. Do I just forget my feelings for her and go back to Riley? Now that I'm thinking about it, I realize that Riley would be boring as hell. She probably wouldn't like sex, but Maya would. Riley pulls her phone out and types something. "In leaving." She hurriedly says. She runs out of the gazebo and I see her run onto the street. She is on the track team. It'd make sense for her to run I guess. Maya doesn't like me, I remember as soon as I get back into the house. She made me Texas Lucas, Riley calmed me. Riley, I think as I walk past my mother in the doorway.
