Ch. 50

Kat's POV

I attacked immediately. Multiple strikes were thrown at Vayu as he held up his hand to block. We pushed back as a gust of air shook the whole room. Never in my life had I felt so alive-so powerful.

"NOW THIS IS WHAT I WANTED TO SEE!" His laughed rang through my ears like someone just banged a metal pot that was over my head with a spoon.

"Do I amuse you?" I spat. Vayu's cold eyes darted at me as a sinister smile crept led into his face. I couldn't afford  to let my guard down though.

"Oh I'm sorry," he began," it's not you, it's you power."

"Yea I already figured that out."

"Such a sassy little girl are we? Well, we can fix that.." He was so quick in the attack that I was hit full force by a wind blast. I was sent up into the air, but to my surprise, gained balance and seemed to float in mid-air. Never realizing it before, I had grown a pair of green, translucent, floating wings.

"You should pay attention during a fight." I was punched down and landed hard on the cement surface. Damn, I need to concentrate.

"Oh please you still continue to get up?" Vayu questioned as I unsteadily got to my feet. My eyes quickly darted at Sam who lay almost lifeless on the ground. She stared back at me with worry, to which only began to fuel my anger. He wasn't going to beat me. Never would I let someone this sinister beat me.

"I will never give up," I sprinted at him as soon as he hit the ground. Before Vayu could respond with another wind attack I teleported, leaving him surprised as I kicked his feet out from under him. Just when he was about to hit the ground I launched Meteor which sent the wind wizard flying.

"You-" An ice attack, Frozen Tundra Rocks.

But I was only lucky with my first attack.

"Wind Blade Dance!" Vayu commanded as the wind blades swirled around in an attempt to slice me. My protection bubble was up, but came down after 3 hits. Cuts opened from my arms and legs as the last few got me.

By now my flames where almost 4ft long and fueled by anger. Racing against time in this super form, I launched another strong attack.

"Raging Storm of the Lighting God!" My hands swirled as clouds formed into place. One snap of my fingers sent the dark rain particles charged with electric bolts. I got him.

However it was too soon to celebrate. The clouds vanished in a millisecond before they even landed one hit on Vayu.

"Did you forget I control the wind?" Clenching my teeth, I sprang up off the ground.

"Lightning Tornadoes!"

The man cleverly used his own wind to spin the charged tornadoes out of coordination. But it left him wide open.

I kicked him in side of his face, burning a shoe imprint into his skin. He flew back in anguish and touched his face to speculate the damage.

No time could be wasted. I sent a series of punches to the upper half of his body just hoping to hit something. He clenched his teeth and countered with a side kick. I coughed at the loss of air.
