Chapter 18

Kat's POV

Everyone was having a water gun war while I sat on a raft. I had a spell book in my hand and I was trying to figure out a spell that would allow me to go in the water longer.

"Find anything yet?" Sam said as she poked her head out of the water. I almost fell off the raft.

"No not yet." I said, trying to find my place again in the book.

"Well hurry up. It's killing me not to tip you over." I glared at her. She smirked and swam back over to the others.

I heard a phone ring and decided to I look who was calling. I froze a path back to the backyard and picked up someones phone.

Jamie was calling Sam.

J-Jamie K-Kat

J- Sam? I just wanna apologize about yesterday....

K- Shut up Jamie.

J- Kat? Where's Sam?

K- Why do you care? You literally broke her heart by not believing her

J- Wait. Do you really believe she is a shadow hunter?

K- Yea I do because I'm the one who made her into it.

J- *laughs* Sure Kat, and your supposed to be a witch? *laughs more*

K- As a matter of fact I am now if you have a problem with that I suggest never talking to Sam or me again. Bye you asshat.

I hung up the phone before he could respond. I can't believe he was such a jerk to Sam. You would think he would believe her after disappearing right in front of him.

"Kat!" Tyler called, making me escape my thoughts. I put Sam's phone down and went back to my raft.

"Hey what's up?" I said, trying to act like nothing happened.

"I was just gunna ask you who was on the phone?"

"Oh it was one of those telemarketer." I lied.

"Oh ok." Tyler said as he shrugged his shoulders and swam back over to the water gun war. I sighed and went back to looking for a spell.

Sam's POV

Kat went back to her raft after talking to someone on the phone. She seemed to be a little angry after that. I swam to her raft to see what was up.

"Hey." She said.

"Hey. Are you ok?" Kat looked up from her spell book.

"Yea why?" I could tell she was lying.

"Because I saw you talking on the phone to someone and you seemed a little angry."

"Oh you know, some telemarketers just refusing to leave you alone." She looked at me then back to her spell book. Yea that's not suspicious at all.

"Kat what are you hiding?" She sighed and put the book down.

"It was Jamie." She mumbled.

"Wait What?" Why would he call me after that?

"He wanted to apologize but still didn't believe you. So I kinda told him to not talk to us again."

"Wait did you call him an asshat?" Kat looked at me and smiled.

"Yes."

"Your a good friend Kat. your a good friend."
