Kat's POV
"Tsk tsk. I expected better from you Ms. Herondale." A voice as crisp as the wind boomed at my right. My vision was blurred, but I knew damn well who it was. What happened? I still was trying to figure that out.
"M-Master I can e-" Sam stuttered.
"Quit your faking. I know what just happened. What, do you think I don't watch?" I tried to raise my head, but it was no use. I was almost out.
"Now you must be punished." With a quick flick of his wrists Sam was levitating before him. He seemed to be amused by the way she twitched at the sudden infliction of pain. You could see the purple fumes of magic expel from her body. She was loosing her power, no my power.
"Don't you n-need this magic?" She spat. Her so-called-Master chuckled at her idiotic question.
"I can let a little go. Besides, I already have most of it already." He gestured toward the containers behind me. Sam refused to look at it.
"Aww. You should be proud of your work. Now look at it." She struggled against his spell but was still forced to stare at the large containers almost filled with magic power. Tears started to form in her eyes. I myself could feel the waterworks too. She was in danger, and all I could do was watch.
"Let me go."
"No can do, you still need your punishment."
"LET ME GO!" Sam screamed and began to kick and throw punches. She hit him in the hand, which made him loose control of the spell. Now on the ground, she kicked him off his feet, or so she thought.
"Well," We both looked up," seems you truly did learn a thing at that run down church. Funny how you and Jace are allowed there being that you are demons."
"I won't allow you to look down on the Institute!" Anger fueled her power so much that you couldn't even tell she was hurt. Sam went into full combat mode, moving so fast I could barely see a thing, but I guess I had this machine to thank.
"Now I remember why I recruited y-" He was stopped by a punch to the jaw, then a side kick to the gut. Sam stopped as soon as he was down and only then did she show any signs of lost of energy or in this case magic.
"This demon will be the death of you."
"Is that so?" Laughter rang through the room. He stood up as if he hadn't been hit at all. Sam looked at him with her eyes wide, her body shaking. She was scared-no- terrified.
I managed to get on my knees and continued to try to stand, using the glass for support. My main goal right now was to get out of here, next help Sam, and finally eliminate this guy.
"Now that we had our warmup, let's get to the good stuff." Wishing seconds Sam was thrown across the room and into the cement wall. She yelped in pain.
"Eh that wasn't hard enough. Must be out of practice- let me try again." For a second time she was thrown at the wall with a harder force. He was acting as if she was just a rag doll.
"STOP YOU'LL KILL HER!" I screamed. Ice cold eyes flashed at me and suddenly he threw something at me. Was it wind? Well whatever it was it knocked the tank and my progress was lost. That was it, I had no more strength to try again.
"Now where were we?" Sam was thrown from side to side, hit with more air blasts, and beaten till she was limp. I screamed in terror at the sight. Tears started to form in my eyes. Using all my might I tried to summon my burning flames. Come on. Come on.
