Tyler's POV

"Dammit!" I heard Kat yell from the kitchen. A piece of ice landed on my head. I instantly sat up and saw the floor covered in ice chunks. What the hell? As I walked into the kitchen, Kat threw a fireball at the side of the doorway.

"Oh my god sorry!" She put her hands behind her back. I looked around and saw a pink like covering on the kitchen.

"What's this?" I said as I touched the hard, plastic cover.

"Oh it's a force field I've been trying to hold for about 12 minutes. I'm trying to get my powers in order." She flicked her wrist and the force field was gone along with all the ice.

"Seems like you have everything under control." I was still amazed how nothing was broken in the kitchen.

"I'm going to have to fight this guy who wants to kill me. My powers have to be stronger than his." Kat burst into flames and teleported by my side.

"This seems familiar." I said with a huge grin on my face. The fire faded and Kat smiled.

"I wonder..." She said.

"Hello peoples!" San burst through the door. Somebody has to teach that shadowhunter to knock.

"Hi now what are you doing here?" Kat looked at Sam suspiciously. I saw Sam's fingers twitch.

"Tyler asked me to come by." She said. Kat and I looked at her confused. Something was not right.

"Sam what's going on?" Kat said, this time getting ready to fight. I saw something moving in Sam's hand.

"I guess it's time for you to find out." Suddenly she threw something at me. Kat instantly put a force field around us.

"Funny how you think that will stop the bomb." She smirked and lunged at Kat. The force field broke and we were thrown to the ground.

"Who are you!" I demanded. The imposter looked at me and threw the bomb. It landed on the wall and started to count down from 20. I saw Kat burst into flames next to me.

"Tell me who you are or I will kill you." She looked angrily at 'Sam'.

"Let's just say a certain someone sent me." The voice started to sound lower. I texted Adam and told him to send Sam over immediately.

"Well your gunna die anyways." Kat threw a ice block but it was thrown to the ground.

"You need to do better than that." The person tackled Kat to the ground. Kat teleported behind her and froze the bomb next to me. I sighed as the clock stopped at 1.

"I hope you like animals." Kat turned into a tiger and attacked the person, who started to look like a demon more than Sam. All of a sudden she was thrown to the other side of the room and tuned back into a human. The demon like creature jumped at Kat, ready to rip her to shreds when someone stabbed her in the back.

"Sam?" I looked at her surprised. I've never seen her stab someone with a knife.

"What? I can't save my best friends life?" She helped Kat up who looked like she had been thrown off a bridge. I watched as the demon faded away.

"Thanks." Kat said as Sam put her on the couch. Still a little petrified I hurried to her side.

"Kat why did you think you could kill that demon?" Sam said softly. That was something you didn't see everyday from her.

"I needed the practice." Kat smiled slightly. Her leg had a huge cut on it. I ran and grabbed the first aid.

Sam's POV

Kat smiled as she said she needed practice. I could tell she needed help strengthening her powers, but this was the wrong way to do it.

"Ok I got some bandages." Tyler put down pretty much everything he could find from around the house. I inspected Kat's leg and it looked like she needed stitches more than anything.

"Kat do you have enough energy to preform an anti magic spell?"

"I think so. Why?" She looked worried.

"We have to go to the hospital to get that looked at." I said. Kat sat up painfully and put her hands above her legs. Purple swirled around her and she was out.

"What the hell happened?" Tyler cradled Kat's head.

"I don't know Tyler. She freakin blacked out right in front of you!" He gave me a death glare and picked Kat up.

"Off to the hospital!" I yelled as I marched out the door.
