Ch. 36

Sam's POV

I instantly remembered everything. It was as if my life was being replayed and I was watching it. Photos of my old house, my parents, when me and Kat first met were moving through my mind. The only thing I was happy about though was that I was me again. I was Sam Herondale.

That's when I saw it. I saw what had happened that dreadful day. The day where my life could've ended.

"Sam are you ok?" Kat faced me with her eyes full of excitement and sadness.

"I know who bombed us." I looked at everyone, even the mysteriously invisible Tyler who was supposed to be in a coma.

"You do?" Adam asked. Man he must've been pissed when he found out part of his house blew up.

"It was a demon. I saw it walk around the house but thought nothing of it. He must be working for that guy after Kat. He ordered the demon to bomb us." My mind slowly stopped racing. Kat looked petrified while everyone else looked like they were gunna kill somebody.

"I don't understand what he wants from her!" Adam slammed his fist on the wall. Alesa went over to the next room and apologized then came back in to calm him down. Tyler didn't look to happy either.

"I know what he wants." Kat said silently.

"What?"

"My powers. The one thing that he can use to control everything. That's why he wants me dead." I knew what was going to come next so I spoke before she had the chance to even look up.

"You can't leave. We won't let him get to you. Even if it means taking our own lives." Everyone nodded their head in agreement. Even Tyler's head moved.

Wait. Tyler!?

Tyler's POV

I was done with pretending to be dead. If Sam could recover memories why couldn't I wake up from a coma?

"Tyler?" I heard Kat say as she rushed to my side. I was trying to move my body in anyway to show her I was alright. That's when it happened. My body started to move smoothly. I didn't feel like a statue anymore. I was awake.

"Oh my god!" Kat hugged me like she was never gunna let go.

"I'm so glad I'm back."

"We've missed you buddy." Adam grabbed hand and smiled. Alesa too came over and hugged me just as Kat started to let go.

"So your not dead." I turned to Sam who was also back to normal.

"Why, were you hoping I was?"

"Actually I'm glad your alive." For the first time we've met each other Sam and I actually had a nice conversation. We smiled at each other and turned to a nurse who came in.

"Your awake! I should get the doctor right away. Everyone else needs to leave while we run a few tests." She ran out the door.

"See you in a little bit." Alesa smiled and they walked out of the room. I looked down at my non transparent body and smiled.

"I'd never thought I'd be able to see spirits like you." Sam broke the silence in the room.

"That was a little weird wasn't it. Even Jace saw me."

"He was here?"

"I guess you need a little catching up to do."

"Anyways It's good to have you back." Sam said as the nurse walked in with a doctor.

"You too."
