Sam Pov
Beep beep beep beep. I feel like punching that heart monitor. Yes I know she's fricking alive. Tyler shows my exact expression, well if I could see mine it would look like that. Kat was patched up, but she can't leave til she wakes up. Knowing her it's gonna be awhile.

"We need to talk" I suddenly break our silence.

"About what" Tyler asks.

"We need to set some rules" I deadpan. Kat's the only thing I'm serious when talking about, and need to know she's in safe hands.

"What are you, her daddy?" I shoot him a death glare.

"Look I'm leaving soon. And I have to leave Kat in the best hands possible. And I'd like to think that's you"

"Your joining that asshole and his friends are you??" I laugh at that.

"I have too. They are my people. They understand what's it's like to protect people. And I need to learn from them. And while I'm gone Kat needs someone. Of course this is only temporary." Tyler rolled his eyes.

"I get it. So the rules??"

"Ah yes.
1). Keep her in your sight at all times
2). Learn the differences in her
3). Give me a feedback every week or so. I'll be in New York. So we won't be seeing eachother in person for awhile. Anywho those are my conditions. " I smile slightly.

"Ok I think I got this. When do you leave??" A figure silently sneaks in, but I catch it.

"About now. And Jace I see you."

"Awww poop" Kat stirs and then her eyes fly open. By this time I'm half way out the window.

"S-Sam?? Where are you going??" I give her a smile just- somewhere.

"I'll be back of course. Tyler's gonna take care of you." I turn then pause. "I'll miss you. Both of you." I jump out and Jace catches me.

"You ready??"

"Ready as I'll ever be I guess". A portal appears and we step through. Let's get this over with. The quicker I learn. The quicker I'll be back. Back to Kat.

*1 1/2 months later*

"I'm almost done"

"How almost done." I smile. "Like done today Kat."

"How much have you've changed??" She says excitedly.

"You will have to find out won't you. I'm bringing a few friends."

"Let me guess. Jace and Izzy and Alec." She knows me too well.

"Yeah. Now I gotta go I'll see you soon" I look at my Parabatai, who's having troble packing. For what I have no clue. "Iz-"

"COME ON GET IN THERE" she screams at her bag. I roll my eyes.

"I'll meet you downstairs" I run down the institute's stairs and out the front doors, where Jace is waiting.

"You ready for this??" I ask him.

"Where you go, I go" He kisses my forehead.

"Yak. Did not need to see that!" The Lightwood siblings say at the same time. I laugh.

"What about Simon?"

"What about Magnus?" Jace and I adress our Parabatai. The portal appears. And takes us straight to my old house.

"Adam." He jumps 5 feet in the air. "You scared the shit out of me!" I laugh and hug him.

"I missed you too. Now is Kat upstairs??"

"Where else would she be. She's making a video now."

"You know how I love barging in on those." I drop my bag and race upstairs. Although
the loved the institute it's great to be home. I dramatically open the door. To reveal Kat and Tyler kissing. I gag.

"It always seems that I have the worst timings" They spring apart.

"Um who are you??" Kat and Tyler ask at the same.

"Nice to know you were missed isn't it Sammy." Jace says from behind me. I punch him.

"JACE IF I TOLD YOU ONCE I TOLD YOU A THOUSAND TIMES DONT CALL ME THAT!"

"Sam?!?!" Kat rushes over and hugs me. It's all smiles and laughing. Until suddenly the room explodes and I loose everything. And by that I mean my memories. Kat nearly loses her arm. Tyler almost dies. It was one hell of a homecoming

So yea. If you couldn't tell my cowriter Sam wrote this. I'm such a noob with shadowhunter stuff. Anyways what happened to them? O.o
