Ch. 31

Kat's POV
I wake up gasping for breath and covered in sweat. It had to be a bad dream. I think to myself. Sam's still in New York training and Tyler's above me in her old bunk. Everything's ok. We're all ok. Wait what's that beeping? I looked over at a monitor.

Beep beep beep.

Oh no. Oh no. No no no no. It was real. I'm back in the hospital. This can't be happening. Why does this keep happening??

A nurse rushed in and stood near my bed.

"It's ok Katherine, calm down." I screamed as shooting pain went through my arm and I saw it covered in scars and bandages.

"Doctor! Doctor!" The nurse yelled and injected something in my arm.

"What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled as my arm gave out, leaving me to fall back down on my bed.
"Calm down." The nurse became very serious. Too serious to my liking.

"Who are you?!" I heard footsteps coming closer.

"A friend of your parents so please listen quick."

"My parents are dead." The footsteps were close.

"I know but listen to me. That shot is just like one of your spells to keep your magic in
your blood hidden." People were only a few feet away.

"How do you know about my powers?" I shot up and was ready to fight but the nurse pushed me back down.

"Katherine, your powers are dangerous. Keep them hidden. Don't let him find you."

"Let who find me? What's going on?" The nurse ran out of the room when the doctor came in.

"Katherine I'm going to have to ask you to stay still." He moved closer to my arm and drew some blood from it. I screamed as the other nurses gave me some sleeping gas.

But before I fell asleep, I saw a familiar figure come into the room.

"Adam..."

Adam's POV

"What the hell is going on?!" I yelled when I barged into Kat's hospital room. I saw her look at me as a nurse put a mask over her face.

"Adam..." She managed to get out. Alesa held my arm back before I lunged at some doctors.

"Adam calm down. She is going to be fine. Right?" She asked the doctor who stood back as Kat was being wheeled somewhere.

"Katherine just needs some test and possible surgery on her arm if anything comes out negative. Nothing too serious."

"Nothing serious?!" I held the doctors shirt.

"Sir I'm going to have to ask you to calm down." He said frightened. I smirked. It was good he was scared because there is no way I'm going to let anything bad happen to Kat.

"Adam!" Alesa said angrily. I let go of the doctor and stepped back.

"Why did she need to be put to sleep?" She said as she shielded me from him.

The doctor looked at his clipboard. "Well from her recent visits with any medical person she hasn't had the nicest temper."

"That's probably why she freaks out when we say we are going to the dentist." Alesa glared at me. I smiled.

"Hey it was just a joke." She rolled her eyes and looked back at the doctor.

"I believe there are other friends of Katherine here." He looked at the clipboard once again.

"And they happen to be in the room right across her's. Tyler Christie who is in a small coma and Samantha Herondale."

"What's wrong with Sam?" I asked nervously. It was bad enough Tyler was in a coma.

"We don't quite know yet. Katherine is the first one to wake up. You are welcome to check on them though."

"Thank you doctor." Alesa said and I stared at him as he left the room.

"I know your a little over protective but come on."

"Oh you love me anyways." I gave her a small kiss and went over to see Tyler and Sam.

Tyler's POV

I woke up after I heard a commotion outside. I sat up and looked over to see Kat being wheeled somewhere. My heart sank as I remembered what happened.

We had been bombed.

"Adam! Alesa!" I yelled as they walked into her room. They didn't even look at me. What?

I stood up but realized I couldn't feel anything. I looked down and saw that my body was transparent. I looked over to see my injured body laying limp on the bed.

Beep beep beep went the monitor. I wasn't dead, at least I thought I wasn't.

"Oh my god." Alesa put her hand over her mouth as she saw me, well my body on the bed.

"Look at Sam." Adam said. I didn't realize there was another person with me in the room. Sam too was all beat up and she looked like she had put up a fight. I felt like screaming.

"I can't believe I won't be able to talk to him till he wakes up." I saw the sadness in Adam's eyes.

"Tyler, if you can hear me please wake up from the coma." Alesa cried by my body.

So that's what is going on.

I was in a coma.

Kat is getting her arm fixed.

And Sam could be dead.

I felt like screaming. Even killing the person who did this to us. And the worst thing was that I knew who was behind this.

The man who wants Kat dead.

Good chapter? I hope so.

I had a lot of ideas on how this should go and I think it came out pretty good.
