Kat's POV
~Flashback~"Katherine, you need to get ready for school!" My mom screamed from downstairs. I moaned and rolled off my bed.
"Shit." I said, hitting my head on the floor.
"Kat hurry up! You need to leave in 15 minutes!"
"Ok Dad!" My voice still sounded sleepy. I went into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror.
"Time for another day of hell." I said and washed my face. Six grade was killing me, literally. Constantly being bullied sucks so yea as you can see I'm soooo excited to go to school.
"10 minutes!"
I ran into my room and put on my yellow shorts and green tee shirt. As I ran out of my room I grabbed my yellow sweatshirt, yellow converse, and my headphones.
"Hurry up and eat your breakfast. We only have 5 minutes." My mom pushed a plate of waffles toward me. I grabbed two and and my lunch and ran out of the house.
"Love you mom and dad!" I yelled and ran to the bus stop. I sat on my backpack, turning on the radio on my phone.
"Hey Kat." I turned around to see my best friend, James, leaning against the sign.
"Good morning." I said putting my headphones on my neck. He smiled and sat down next to me.
"Are you ready for the big quiz today?"
"What?! When was this assigned?!" Being a good student, I hardly ever missed a test or quiz. James smirked.
"There is no quiz silly." He laughed. I smiled and blushed a bit.
"I hate you."
"Aw lighten up." I stuck out my tongue as he pretended he was dying.
"That hurts."
"Don't die. Your dad will think I did it and you and I know we don't want that." He smiled as the bus pulled up. I grabbed his hand and helped him up. Then we got on the bus and made our way to the back, but not without almost being tripped or pushed.
"It's going to be a long bus ride." James said, letting me sit on the window side.
"When is it never."
~time skip to school~
The bell rang signaling for school to start. I sat in the classroom reading as the rest of the kids kept fooling around, waiting for the teacher to come in.
"Hey why don't you take off the sweatshirt! Isn't it a little hot!" A boy yelled from the front of the room. I sighed and continued to ignore them.
"Didn't You hear me girl? Take the damn sweatshirt off!" He said again, his friends laughing.
"Idiots..." I mumbled.
"What was that?" The kid was now in the front of my desk, looking down at me like I was some peasant.
"Just leave me alone Mike." I said, still looking at my book. By now the whole class was quiet, waiting to see what would happen next.
"Why should I? Now I asked you to do something." Mike's buddies surrounded me. You would think I'd be terrified, but no this is usual.
"Why the hell should I listen to you?"
"Oh a mouthy girl are we?" The class oohhed at my comment, but died down as soon as Mike pointed to one of his buddies behind me. I sat there anxiously waiting for the teacher to come in, the only one who would make these jerks leave me alone and scold them for being out of their seats. But no she had to be so damn late.
