Ch. 8

A/N I just wanna thank my friend Sam (my name is not really Kat. She just wanted to be in the story) for helping me write this chapter!

Kat's POV

"I won!" I said as my character jumped up and down. I had just one my first survival games out of like a million.

"Yea you cheater." Adam said in mock disgust.

"It's not my fault I happened to have a god apple." I said back, smirking.

"We said no god apples! Anyways, that was hunger games with FUNNYKID2234 on my server, SKGA...." He was cut off by Sam barging in with Alesa behind her.

"Guys we have to go now " she says.

"Why Sam?" I asked confused.

"No questions, just go!" Sam shouts.

"Yes we need to go now." Alesa said. I saw Sam draw three strength runes on her arm then she opens the window and picks me up.

"Sam what the hell are you doing?!" I yelled.

"I said no questions." And then she drops me out the window. I quickly form a cloud with my hands and expand it, just in time for me to hit the ground. I got off the cloud and held it in place as I saw Adam coming down screaming for dear life. When he landed on the cloud he looked at me in confusion.

"How...d..did..you?" He stuttered.

"I'll tell you once everyone is down here." I

Adam got off right as Alesa got on it. Then of course Sam jumped and was screaming joyfully as she landed on the fluffy surface.

"That was fun." She said still laughing here and there.

"Is that what you mean by her doing something stupid?" Adam asked.

"Pretty much."

"Hey I just saved your lives by the way." Sam said looking at Adam.

"Thank you but what the hell happened?" I said looking directly at Sam, then at Alesa.

"Well we were cooking and Sam went to put a pizza we made in the oven." Alesa started.

"When I put it in the oven it just exploded! I swear I didn't do anything to it!" Sam said.

"You mean the kitchen is on fire?! Great like we weren't spending enough on this trip." Adam looking at Sam in anger.

"Good thing I put a fire protective spell on the whole room." I mumbled to myself. Well that apparently didn't work because they all looked at me.

"You did what?" Alesa said. I was caught. Time to reveal another power.

"Well, one of my powers is to set myself on fire. I put a spell on any room I live in so nothing burns when I burst into flames."

"Ok so your telling me that you can set your whole body on fire and not get burned." Adam said surprised.

"Yup." Sam said. She was the one who first witnessed my powers when I was 12. She has kept the secret ever since, well except for now.

"So how are we gunna put the fire out?" Alesa said.

"I'll go in and freeze and unfreeze the kitchen to put the fire out."

"Ok but I still have one question. What power is that?" Adam said pointing to the cloud that was still on the ground.

"Oh I can control storms and stuff like that." I said without a problem. Weird.

"Cool!" Adam said. He was such a child, but I like that.

"Now to put out this fire. Watch this." I said as I bursted into flames.

"Sam give me a lift. Then you guys need to go the cloud, which I'll make float up to our window. You can come in only when I say it's all clear."

"Got it!" They said at once. Sam boosted me up to the window. I then mDe the cloud float up and ran into the kitchen. Fire was everywhere, but nothing was burning. My flames would protect me from getting hurt so I jumped into the room and froze the oven with ice. I then froze the rest of the kitchen and a little bit of the living room. Luckily the fire hadn't spread throughout the entire hotel room.

"All clear!" I said. I stopped my flames and unfroze the two rooms.

"Good now Sam is not allowed to touch the oven anymore!" Adam said as Sam whined. (Idk if I spelled that right)

"Ok so I'll just order takeout." Alesa said holding up a burnt piece of pizza.

"Good idea." I said.

~Time Skip~ after dinner

"Now girls I have a question for you." Adam began.

"How would you like to go to Pax East tomorrow? It's the last day and then we are going back home to Seattle.

"Really? Thank you so much Adam!" I said as I hugged him.

"Agh. But I don't wanna go to a gaming convention." Sam whined once again.

"Did I mention there is a booth for the Mortal Instruments going on with Cassandra Claire signing books?" Alesa said. Sam looked at her and started jumping up and down.

"Ok I'm in! Thank you so much!" She said as she hugged Adam.

"Your very welcome but you guys might be with Alesa most of the time since I'll be busy with signing things and stuff like that. I am kinda a superstar."

"Ok!" Sam and I said in unison. We each hugged them goodnight and went off to the second bedroom that had an bunk bed.

"I call top!" Sam said as she climbed up and payed down.

"Goodnight Sam. Thanks for coming along."

"No problem. That's what best friends are for." Then I fell asleep.

I'm sorry this came out so late. I was kinda had a writers block but I'll try to post more often. Thank you for all the reads too! I'm really happy you guys are enjoying this book.
