Tyler's POV

"Kat wake up." I said as I sat on her bed.

"But it's too early." She moaned.

"Come on Kat." I pushed her lightly and she grabbed my hand.

"Push me again and I'll burst into flames." I chuckled at her determination.

"So you would burn your boyfriend?" Kat opened her eyes sleepily and looked at me.

"If it meant I could sleep longer, then yes."

"You need to stop learning things from Sam." I replied. Kat instantly sat up.

"Do not!"

"Yes you do now get up." I picked Kat up out of bed, bridal style, and started walking downstairs.

"Tyler put me down or I'll get Sam."

"Suit yourself." I dropped Kat on the couch in the living room.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"Hey Kat can you come out here for a minute?" Adam said as he opened the door that leads to the porch.

"Sure." Kat looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders. She got up and walked outside.

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled. Kat jumped like 6ft in the air.

"Partay!" Sam yelled and jumped on top of Kat who was almost on her feet again. I carefully walked around the two lunatics and sat in a chair next to Kyle.

"So how's your love life?" He whispered.

"Kyle what the fuck." I swear he says strange things at such strange moments.

"Sorry for asking. It's just Adam still gives you death glares. Kinda like now." I look over and see Adam looking straight at me.

"I don't know what I did! All I'm doing I going out with Kat." Kyle rolled his eyes.

"Hmm I don't know she's his cousin Tyler!"

"Kyle, please tell me why I talk to you about this stuff."

"Because you love me."

"Right."

"Alright people its time to open the gifts!" Alesa said, breaking up our conversation.

"Thank you guys so much." Kat said as she put down her knew phone case.

All of a sudden the cloud was full of dark clouds.

"Kat is that you?" Adam said as he looked a the sky.

"N..no."

"Oh no." Sam said as she looked at some... device in her hand that was glowing or something. Man, shadowhunters are pretty dope.

"Sam please tell me it's not vampires." Kat said as Sam looked back at her.

"No, worse. Demons."

"Haha you guys are soooo funny." I said. Sam looked like she was gunna attack me.

"Sam stand down he doesn't know." Kat said as she grabbed her arm to hold her back.

"So what your telling me is that there are demons coming to kill us?" Alesa had a puzzled look on her face along with the rest of us.

"Pretty much." Sam said as if it were nothing. Kat just rolled her eyes. All of a sudden this big, blackish cloud thing comes out of no where.

Then I was surrounded in darkness.
