Hey guys, even though I brought back in-story author's notes I haven't really been using them.
Hi, how are you?
Are you enjoying the story?
Sorry for the plot twist, I just finally found a direction to go in that I like. So anywhoop, let's continue on with the story.

Meanwhile, as Laehal and Teriaj were in the forest, Shayel was...well, freaking out.
"I can't believe him!" she screamed. "I loved him like my child!"
She was storming around the school in a blind rage, throwing around rocks and leaves. She was furious with Laehal for running away, but she knew that most kids couldn't stay away for long.
But if he could somehow survive on his own, she would need a way to find him. She knew Sever would find a way, so this is where she headed. Profanity slithered around in her head.
She stalked back to her house to get the car. Once she got in, she headed down the road that would lead her to Mr. Sever Nirue.
The drive there was awful. She could have sworn that her anger was steaming up the windows.
"Sever Nirue, if you survive this encounter it'll surprise me," seethed Shayel, as she pulled up to the decrepit house. She threw open the door with a bang, and Sever screamed.
"I haven't done nothin', swear!" he yelled.
Shayel stalked over to him, where he was curled into a ball and shaking.
"Sever, I'm going to need your help."
He peeked out from under his hands. "Shayel...?"
Shayel rolled her eyes. "Yes, Sever, it's me. Bet you thought you'd seen the last of me, hm?"
"Ye--no, no Shayel, you're a very valued pati--customer. I was...hoping you'd come back. Were you satisfied with the paperwork I gave you? For Laehal?" Sever said, while inside he was worried for Laehal. Was Shayel going to do something to him? Or had the boy maybe run from her, after all these years?
Shayel softly snorted, hand on her hip. "They were fine. They worked. But that's not why I'm here. I need your help finding the bloody"--here, Shayel uttered a word that should not be written down--"because he's run away from home."
But that's not his home, thought Sever. He's probably run to his real home, away from the bloody demon who took him away from it.
"How could I help? I'm good with paperwork and forgery, not search parties." He was lying of course. He would be able to search files and eventually find where ever Laehal had gone.
Shayel's mouth set into a thin, straight, white line, and her eyebrows drew in to give her an angry and menacing look.
"I will not let him go, do you understand?" she said calmly, too calm for someone who looked so angry. "Either you help me, or you don't, but if you choose not to, there will be dire consequences."
Sever had heard before about Shayel's 'consequences,' and he did not want to have to meet them face-to-face. But he didn't want the boy to be trapped in a dangerous house with a dangerous woman and surrounded by lies that he had placed upon Laehal's shoulders and mind.
In the end, Sever decided that surely Shayel wouldn't kill him, since she would need him to find Laehal, but he wasn't positive. She might have other people to rely on. She could torture answers out of him, if she so wished, so Sever decided he would try to trick her; lead her on the wrong path. And if that didn't work, he wasn't sure what he could do to protect Laehal from the monster his nanny had always been, and never showed.

So? How was it?
A look inside the mind of the one who had aided in starting the mess.
What do you think of Sever? Do you trust him to do the right thing?
Or do you think he will stay on Shayel's side?
As for Shayel, what do you think of her sudden monstrosity? Did you expect her to be a bad guy?
