SOOOOOOOO anywhoop.
Last time Sever made the greatest decision of his ENTIRE LIFE. Sever is going to turn himself--and Shayel--in.
This time we're back with Teriaj, Laehal, and Mother Nature, plus a special appearance from someone we've already met...

"And that one time you were playing like, seven feet away, and Shayel was screaming at you--I was there hoping she would just let you play instead of grabbing you by the arm and dragging you inside."
"Really?"
Laehal and Teriaj were hanging in Teriaj's house, talking about Laehal's previous years. It had steadily grown dark as they were talking, and all of a sudden there was a knock at the door.
Laehal followed as Teriaj went to the door, watching as he opened the door to show a woman dressed in jeans and a red flannel shirt standing on his doorstep.
"Hey Teriaj," she said.
"Hey," Teriaj said, surprised.
The woman looked around awkwardly.
"C-come in," he stuttered, holding the door open for her.
She walked past Teriaj, where Laehal was standing.
"Oh! Is this Laehal? Who am I kidding, of course it is! I've heard lots about you, from Teriaj."
"Oh."
"Oh! I'm Pomrey," the woman said. She shook Laehal's hand. "So pleased to finally meet you, future Spinner. I'm sure you--and Teriaj, of course--will be pleased to know that my project, Sever Nirue, has taken the right path. He will be turning himself, as well and Shayel, your babysitter, into the authorities. And I do believe that you might need to be a witness, as you are in the middle of the whole thing."
"S-Sever?"
"Well, yes. For Shayel to be put in a mental institute, they will need proof of the forged documents, and what better proof than the one who made them come to clear his conscience?"
"He really is helping me?"
"Mmhmm," Pomrey said while nodding. "And he's very sorry for doing that to you."
"Thank you, Pomrey," Teriaj said. "But it's fairly late, and I'm sure Laehal will need some rest."
As Teriaj said this, Laehal yawned.
"Oh, right. Yes, of course. I'll, um, I'll go now." Pomrey walked back to the door. "See you soon, sometime. Hopefully. In court, maybe?"
Teriaj nodded once.
"Okay. Goodbye." She then opened the door and left.
"Off to bed now, Laehal. You've had a fairly long and exciting day today. Get lots of rest. You'll need it." Teriaj led Laehal to a bedroom, where he tucked Laehal into the bed.
"Night."
Teriaj smiled down at Laehal. "Goodnight," he and Mother Nature said together. Teriaj left the room, leaving the door opened a crack.
Laehal went to sleep quickly. He had had a long, tiring day.
Teriaj walked into his living room, where a television sat on small storage unit, in which he kept movies. Across from the TV was a beige, three-seater couch, and in between the couch and the TV was a bright blue coffee table. The carpet was beige also, and although most thought of beige as a boring, ugly colour, Teriaj thought it was a nice colour. It didn't draw attention from the paintings on the walls.
His particular favourite was one of a golden tree, from which golden strings descended, attached to the hearts of people who mingled below. He thought it was a unique way to understand Fate, and the idea of it intrigued him.
It also made him laugh. The artist had painted a tree to represent the Web, as if it was one giant family tree.
He sat on the couch. Things were beginning to go the right way, opposed to the wrong way, as they had near the beginning of Laehal's life. He hoped that the judge would decide justly at both Sever's and Shayel's trials, and he hoped Laehal wouldn't be too uncomfortable. And of course, Laehal wouldn't really have anywhere to go after Shayel gets put in a mental institution. Social services most likely wouldn't let Laehal live with Teriaj, as they were the same age.
Teriaj sighed. He would need to take up these issues some other time.
As Laehal drifted from dream to dream, Teriaj stood on the balcony, staring at the moon, watching as it slowly made its course from one side of the sky to the horizon on the other side.
