I rolled over in the bed, confronted by Jonah's back. I had been having trouble sleeping, though I hadn't had any night terrors in the past week since he had shown up. All that was keeping me up was the fact that I was worrying about Henry being right. I felt as if there was some method to his madness, no matter how much I had originally hated him for it. We had been very quiet towards each other, and I would avoid him any chance I got. Jonah and I were serious, and I didn't want to jeopardise my relationship.
Jacob still slept in the same room. I flipped over to face him. He was against the wall, his face pressed into his pillow and his back to me. I could tell he was awake by his breathing pattern, but didn't greet him. I sighed quietly, digging my face further into my pillow.
"Can't sleep?" Jacob groaned, almost silent. I hummed. "Why not? Are you having nightmares again?"
"No, not that. I was thinking about what Henry said before."
"What he said was wrong." I frowned.
"Yes, but I always jump to conclusions. What if something happens because of mine and Jonah's relationship?"
"Nothing is going to happen. I won't let it. You two are happy. He should appreciate that." I shifted and began to get out of the bed.
"I am going to get some water. Would you like some?"
"Yes, thank you."
I went into the main carriage and went to the tank in the cupboard. Once I removed the lid, I realised that our supply of drinking water was running quick low. I frowned. I would have to face up to Henry and tell him we needed more. Instead of going straight to him, I filled two glasses and started towards the other carriage. Instead, Jacob emerged from the door and sat at the table.
"I'm not tired anymore. I may as well stay up and do some work." I set his glass in front of him.
"Goodnight." I gave a smile. On my way back, a hand grabbed my wrist. I followed it up the arm which belonged to Jacob. I stared hard at him.
"Are you alright? And I would like the truth, please."
"Honestly, I'm fine." His hand dropped. I then made my way back to bed.

The sheets were still warm on the other side, so I realised that Jonah must have only just woken up. I heard laughing from the next carriage which sounded like Jacob. I sat up, feeling rested and relaxed from my sleep. Even after being awake for a while earlier in the morning, I had stayed asleep then for the rest of the time until around seven. The clock in the corner ticked away at me and, when I smirked at it, another fit of chuckles came through the door. I got out of the bed, not bothering to change from my night clothes, and went towards the door. Jacob, Jonah and Evie faced me, Evie's face half hidden behind a cup of tea. The steam fluttered into her eyes and swirled around her head.
"Good morning, Carina. Nice sleep?" She asked, a large smile on her lips. I nodded.
"I made breakfast to thank everyone for letting me stay here." Jonah chimed. He held a tray with a plate of ham, bacon, eggs and bread. I smiled and took the plate and cup of coffee. I kissed his cheek.
"Thank you." A dirty plate sat beside Evie, so I took a seat next to Jacob. I tucked into the food, the smell intoxicating me. "This is delicious, Jonah."
"I think you should be thanking Miss Frye here. She was the one who found me the recipe."
"Now, now, Mr Schooner. You cooked the meal, I did not." Evie waved her now empty cup around. "Would you pass me the tea pot please, Carina?" I pushed it gently towards her. She slowly filled her cup, stirred in a sugar cube and a drop of milk then sipped it. "Do you want milk for your coffee?"
