Evie dropped me off outside of a beautiful looking house. I made my way to where I watched Jacob climb into an already occupied carriage.
"I'm your new bodyguard. Jacob Frye." I heard just as I went in to join him. "And this is Carina Faraday. Your second bodyguard." He smirked at me.
"I wasn't informed of any new bodyguards. Who is your commanding officer?"
"Let the boy speak, Dizzy." The man's wife smacked his arm gently and faced Jacob again with a look of wonderment.
"Madam. Apologies, but we've learnt of a threat on your life, and the Met thought it best to move quickly."
"Threat? What sort of threat?" A gun went off, as if on cue.
"Seems like the threat has caught up with us. We should go and check on that." I smiled and started to shove Jacob out of the door.
"Excuse us." He tipped his hat before exiting. I instantly spotted a handful of Blighters on the roof. "You take the three on the right, I will take the three on the left." I nodded.
I used my grapple to get up to the ledge where the first two Blighters stood. One gave a yell and pointed her rifle at me. I ducked back down as the bullet flew towards me. It narrowly missed my head. I got back up and shook my head.
"Now, that wasn't very nice." I scoffed as I plunged my blade into her neck.
I moved to the next Blighter, but struck him in the knee first with a throwing knife before finishing him off by swinging my Kukri into his chest. When I went to kill the final man, I heard a Blighter calling from beneath me.
"Not so fast, Your Excellency." My eyes met the carriage, which was now speeding away.
"Jacob!" I screamed. He was already sitting atop another carriage. I leapt down on top of it and dropped to the seat. "Go."
"Get back here with that Prime Minister!"
We tore through the roads, following after the Disraeli carriage. Jacob then passed me the reins with no explanation. He climbed onto the roof of the carriage. Suddenly, I felt as if I had to drive especially carefully so that my lover didn't tumble from the roof and fall to an imminent death underneath many horse hooves. He hopped from our roof to the roof which belonged to the Disraelis. He stabbed the Blighter and took his place at the reins.
"Carina! Meet me back at the Disraeli estate. Then, we can be underway with our next part of our mission."
~~
Jacob had arrived just after me. I got off of our stolen carriage and opened the door for the Disraelis.
