"Well..." I say as I look down.

"Yes. We are." Palmer says. I look at him. "What? Ducky won't tell! He doesn't believe in Gibbs' rules! Isn't that true Doctor."

"I do believe in Gibbs' rules. Just not this one." Ducky replies.

"What rule?" I ask.

"Oh. You don't know the rules yet?!" Palmer asks.

"No... Well not all of them... I know number six."

"Oh. Well. Rule number twelve. Never date a co-worker."

"Oh... Any other rules you two can fill me in on?"

"The ones we know." Ducky says.

"Well... Let's see... Rule one, never screw over your partner." Palmer says.

"Rule two, always wear gloves at a crime scene."

"Rule three, never be unreachable." They go on and on. It seems to take forever!

"Just how many rules are there?" I ask.

"That is a never answered question my dear." Ducky says. "On the other hand let's get back to your injuries."

"Ok."

"Would you like to do the stitches, Mr. Palmer? Or shall I?"

"I don't think I should. I mean, I would feel terrible if I were to hurt her." Palmer says.

"Alright. Lay back my dear." Ducky pats his hand on a roll of paper towel. I lean back and rest my head on the paper towel. I reach over and grab Palmer's hand and clench it tight as Ducky begins to stitch up my lip. I yelp as the fist stitch goes in.

"It's ok, Ash. Just close your eyes and breath slowly." I squeeze his hand tighter than before. "Jeez! You've got a strong grip."

"My dear! You must keep still!"

"I'm trying Ducky." I say trying not to move my bottom lip.

"You almost done, Doctor?" Palmer asks.

"Almost." Ducky says quietly as he goes back to stitching.
