Chapter 6 - Doctor Phil

McGee brings me to forensics. He says Abby knows how to cheer me up. How could she though? I've never even met her. We walk into the lab greeted by blaring music. At first I flinch and cover my ears, but then I start to get used to it. "Abby?" McGee calls into the lab.

"Hey my little McTim!" says the bright and cheery girl dressed all in black. She kisses him on the cheek and then looks to me. "Hi! You must be, Ashton. The newest field agent!" She gives me a big hug.

"So, Abbs... Ashton already has a little thing that she needs someone to talk to... I was thinking you and I could work together."

"Sure what's up?"

"Well... Uh... I don't really want to say it." I mumble as I look to McGee.

"Palmer kissed her yesterday. She doesn't know what to do." he explained.

"You didn't expect the kiss at all, right?" Abby questions. I shake my head no as I look at the ground.

They continue asking questions and counseling me until Palmer walks in. I look down and awkwardly hide my face. When he sees me he does the same. "I'll just come back later." he says as he tries to leave.

"No, Jimmy. Sit." Abby says pointing to a spot on the other side of me. He slowly walks over and sits next to me. "Now... I feel like Doctor Phil... Anyways. So Jimmy, you obviously like Ashton. Ashton do you like him back?"

"I don't know... Maybe?" I respond. Palmers face lit up at my response.

"Maybe?!" he asked with a hint if excitement in his voice.

"I don't know. I think you're attractive, you seem sweet."

"Do you mind?" he asks as he opens his arms. I shake my head and give him a hug.

"Well. That didn't go how I planned. But it went well." McGee says.

"Palmer. I'm so sorry about what happened last night... I just didn't know what to do." I say.

"I know how you feel... I didn't know what to do either." he laughs.
