"Hey, Jimmy! You ready to go home?" I ask as I walk into his hospital room.
"Of course!" Palmer laughs.
"Since you are going to need help for a while, Gibbs, Tony and McGee helped me move some of your stuff over to my house."
"So... We're going to start living together a little earlier than expected then..." he gets a sly smile on his face.
"Yes, but only because you need help." I blush as I turn away.
"Oh ok."
"Come on. Let's go."
"Alright." he grabs his crutches and starts out the door.
"Need help?" I laugh.
"Isn't that what you're here for?" he laughed back.
"Yes."
"Can you grab my laptop bag?"
"Of course." We walked out to my car and he put his crutches in the back.
"So what exactly did you move over?"
"Your dresser, clothes, bed, desk and your favorite chair."
"Ok that sounds good."
"Well it better! I don't have much room for anything else!" I laugh.
"That's ok... Soon enough we can move my bed out again."
"Soon enough? Maybe in a few months..."
"That long?" he asks giving me the puppy dog face.
"Ok... Maybe not that long."
"Yay!"
"You're weird..."
"But that's why you love me." he smiles and kisses me.
"It is." I say and kiss him back.
"So... What's been happening back at work?"
"Nothing new... Cases... That's about it..."
"Is Ducky doing alright without me?"
"He seems a little lonely... But he seems to be getting along... Doesn't mean he's not pulling his hair out! But it is getting done."
"Alright... I just feel so bad leaving Doctor to work alone."
"It's ok!"
